All-Star Glitter Makeup

we are doing glitter... we use it for all of our teams and it never looked trashy or messy or anything. it is quite a challenge for people who are new to cheer to understand that they have to apply that much glitter but until now everybody accepted it and no one ever looked stupid! At our last comp this season we did silver glitter and red lipstick and it looked really pretty on all of the girls! Not a Fan of smokey eyes though, our Dance Team tried smokey eyes at nationals and they looked like zombies...i've also seen quite a bunch of teams which tried smokey eyes and ended up looking weird, zombie like etc oO
But worse is definitly smokey eyes AN Lipstick...not at a Fan at all

I know this is a thread about makeup, but what do you guys think about colored hair extensions to match your team colors?

my stance on crazy colored hair is when i look at you straight on i should not be able to see it. You can put it in the back or underneath of your hair.

ya i agree with this my gym uses it for all the teams and i think it looks cute on the little ones but im on a sr team and i would much prefer eyeshadow or something. The glitter also takes a while to put on and take off and you can't even see it that well from the stage.

I would love a judges perspective on the makeup- does it make a difference?

I personally love the way my gym does eye glitter, black eyeliner with gold glitter (I tend to put a cream eyeshadow underneath it just to help it stick better), but the gyms that literally split their eyes horizontally and do half silver and half red glitter... that's just too much.

For me, glitter is way easier to put on than makeup. It takes me a total of 15 minutes to put it on and take it all off! Pro-wrap (or pre-wrap, I hear both) works wonders for taking of glitter! I think its better than tape. I competed with my school team and I did two allstar teams (I crossed over from junior to senior) at a competition 2 years ago, my school team used makeup and my allstar team used glitter. I DIED trying to get the makeup off in the bathroom at the comp, but when I had to take the glitter off it was really easy! Basically half of my school team also went to the same gym as me, so the next year we switched to glitter...so much easier!

I think it depends on the uniform and bow for what kind of makeup you should do now that I think about it..

No. Most of the time we're so far away from the floor that we don't notice. Example: Fame's eye shadow stickers....you can see the detail up close, from the judge's table-looks like a glob of something on their temples.

our teams do a smokey eye and we take the glitter and make like a crescent moon on the side of our eye without any glue just glitter. gives our eyes a nice sparkle and verry easy to take off

i love the eye glitter as long as its not stuff that chips off half way throught the comp, but i really think the lipstick has GOT TO GO! when stunting the lipstick gets all over uniforms and doesnt come off its terrible and not everyone knows just how to put it on so it likes to make everyones lips look wavy lol!

i hate glitter make up because its so hard to take off!

I love glitter! Probably because I've perfected my use of it and how to get it off(;

I agree with all of you on the smokey eye, unless you had it done by a professional, I've never seen anyone do it the right way and it looks a hot mess. I don't like lip glitter because by the time you hit the floor it is gone in the first place. We already had bright red lips, adding the red glitter just made it worse...
