I'm not sure if you're talking to me, but I just got a slice elite machine. It's for paper, but on the box it said "great for fabric" but you have to buy the fusible web in order for it to work. They have a slice fabrique machine, but other than it being bigger, I'm pretty sure you still have to use the fusible web. I was debating on that and the circut for a long time, but I got a coupon from michaels that for once didn't exclude the slice machine so I was like 'YOU'RE MINE!"

I tried using Super 77 spray today. Not sure if I'm a fan. It was certainly faster than using glue, but man oh man what a pain in the butt it was to get the ribbons lined up properly. That stuff sticks to everything! I was using grosgrain ribbon, two bows that were two layer and one bow that was 3 layer. It was a pain in the butt because I couldn't lay the ribbons flat like i can when I use regular craft glue or the heat n bond. Anyone have any tips for using this stuff?

Also, when you use mystique (or any other fabric) what do you do about the edges fraying?

Ive never had any spandex fabric fray on me, but what I do is take a wood burner and run it lightly along the sides of each layer before they are fused together. It gives it a little bit of an extra seal. And if it a material that frays, then it stops it from fraying.

Thanks. I do that with ribbon, but wasn't sure if it would work with fabric too!

I'm new sorry, but can someone tell me what brand of fabric glue they use and how much it costs? everything with fabric i normally just sew onto a ribbon, but it takes so long!
