SO I know there was talk about this toward the beginning of the season. Which programs are trying this divison? and are there any companies that are even allowing it? I could be completely wrong I this, I thought I read it back at teh beginning of summer, but I wasnt sure. I was just curious!

Thanks for your help

You say "are there any companies that are even allowing it?" as if this is some majorly controversial topic...
All I know, is I'm kind of a fan, a lot of open teams, especially internationally, can not do well in level 5, and would be better suited level 4. Will it stop them from going level 5? Of course not.. not when they can go to Worlds, but it's a nice concept in my opinion.

I think HotCheer and Top Gun were pretty serious about having a team.

personally I think that for those international teams that have no chance...and I mean no chance of even being in the same ball park as other i5 teams, they should have I4 at worlds I know someones gonna say that that's stupid but our sport is still growing and if we're still on this "get the world recognition for sport" I think it only makes sense to make it more suitable for less fortunate places who don't have all the nice cheer amenities that we have in the US per say to really even the playing field...I mean they dont have to put it in the milk house...it would def be a jostens center division ;) but still

HotCheer is having this team and we are really excited about it. It's going really well for us. We are going to exhibition at several Jam Brands events, including Jamfest Supernationals and some local competitions around Pittsburgh!

What about an International Level 6.4 or something? stunting level 6 is super easy (comparatively) to tumbling level 6...with that level you could have teams like Bangkok keep doing insane stunts/pyramids with reduced tumbling difficulty. It'd avoid snafus like the "tie" in IOC6 this year.

i wish more teams were formed in this division to give more kids a chance to compete that arent quite up to par to be on a level 5 team so hopefully next year it could be a division and you could compete rather than just exhibition.

NO MORE TEAMS AT WORLDS. Never, no, non, no in whatever language you speak, not if they are not a senior level 5- int'l level 6 coed or all-girl and the various divisions therein.

That being said, I would TOTALLY love to see Int'l 4 teams. I was so against it at first, but I definitely think it could bring those aging-out athletes back into the sport. I'm excited to see some teams forming and who knows! Maybe, halfway through the year once gyms see how good it is, they'll add their own!

I hope some int4 teams pop up on the west coast, theres a lot of people that would would be perfect for that division.

"snafus" is a brilliant word, I'm just saying..

That defeats the point. A tuck basket is easy, as is a rewind to sponge, and a front flip from prep. After that, it gets difficult, and half of the athletes shouldn't be attempting the things. Allowing teams to be competitive in level 4 will allow them to do more pyramids then what they would be able to do in level 6.

I've been waiting for the USASF's official statement for months now. The jist of it is they see how the division can be positive for the industry so they will allow it as an exhibition only division this season and incorporate into official divisions for next season.

It also can't be called International 4...Open 4 will be the name used this season.

I can give exact guidelines until the USASF answers but I'm pretty sure they like the idea of the division allowing males and the age restrictions being 17+

As soon as I hear anything else from Les I'll pass it on.
