for sure not psyched out, just sad for our girs/guys who have worked so hard to come as far as they have to just have someone come in and broadcast it before we've even hit the mat. Its fair game at competitions, just doesnt seem right coming into a parent viewing and doing that. Texas has never been psyched out by any gym.. They've always put the best they could on the mat. Can't wait for 3 more weeks till we take the mat :)
I agree it isn't right. What do you think the purpose of doing this was? If it wasn't for choreography stealing, and it wasn't to irritate you, why do it?

That is just so wrong! It's one thing if it was a regular competition with other gyms being recorded as well...Like many people said, Karma will come back around. (when you guys beat them)

Everybody will hate me for saying this.....but I don't see what the big deal is. (Go ahead and let me have it...lol) If Texas didn't want anyone outside of the Texas family to see their routines then it should have been made private. I assume that Texas Lonestar has spent 5 months working on certain skills and stunts. In the last couple of months I'm sure the bells and whistles have been added and perfected to make an exciting routine. Now I guess from previous posters comments it is safe to assume that we are talking about Woodlands. If WE's coach taped your routine then there is only two things they can do with it: 1. Steal the routine's "accessories (the actual fluff in between the skills). Since they propably paid a choreographer good money to create their own "fluff" I doubt this is the case. 2. Duplicate your skills. Tumbling is tumbling. No changing that...so I'm guessing stunts are the issue. I assume that WE's coaches have already been working on the harderst stunts that their team can execute well. If they can watch a video of your stunts and compete them perfectly in 3 weeks then your stunts weren't difficult enough to start with. Having seen Texas' teams execute beautiful stunts for years...I really doubt this is the case. I guess my point is that I don't think watching your team's routine will make WE any more or less competitive. I think their coaches have already choreographed to their team's ability. Since I view these two gyms as very equally matched then I'm sure it was more curiosity about where they stood compared to you.

just the fact that you entered WE's name into it not even knowing it if its really them........................................................:enjoyshow:

correct me if im wrong but texas is small all girl and we is med all girl.. so if they arent in the same division why would they go a record?!

I only repeated what some Texas Cheer parents had stated earlier in the thread about it being WE. Since it happened at their gym...I figured that they would know. I have no clue....nor do know what division either of these teams are in. I was only giving my opinion on another gym videoing at a parent show.

Texas and WE are both in medium...at least that was the last thing I read, but that was weeks ago. Not commenting on the whole video taping issue, but just saying that I think that they will be direct competitors.

taking your points above .... then WHY come video.. what would of been the point if they were not planning to do any of the above that you mention? Why not wait to see us in 3 more weeks when we come out in houston at Nca regionals where everyone in houston will practically be... just saying.

Edited...made a mistake in my facts! Will try again later.

Even so...it's just not polite. Just because you can do something, does not make it right.
