Has anyone else had this happen to them? I mean literally not caring about what place you get but making sure that someone else on their team messes something up?

When Iwas 13? I had a girl shimmy her way down my tumbling lane so I could not throw my pass (need I mind you we competed level 5 and I was the only consistant full). At several other competitions, she would purposefully get in my way so when I ran I had to run around her and mess up my footing and end up falling in the pass.

I hope I'm not alone.

At one of my old gyms, there were a few girls who had it in their minds that they did not want to earn a bid to US Finals. Keep in mind we were competely awful and could not earn a bid even if we tried. We had a stunt where our flyers did two standing backhandsprings rebound and half turned and caught in a superman. After the catch they were tossed back out for three handsprings. Well those girls decided to not catch their flyer. Not good. at all.

it was in 2007 and i was on a small junior four team. i was the main spot in the pyramid and the girl that was the outside prep basically backwalkovered out of it and said i kicked her.......she was holding my arm and i was in the middle of a double braced backflip (not even possible for me to kick her). the next practice my coach took her out and made her backspot the prep :)

I was at Cheersport Nationals one year, we hit a flawless routine day one, and we were in second by half a point. The front spot of my stunt yelled at me backstage (i was basing at the time), because I got kicked in the face and busted my lip open. (not sure why she yelled at me...) We were a small junior 3 and only had 3 stunt groups (barley) and it was completely obvious if one of the baskets didn't go up. well we loaded into the basket and some how the front spot held her ankles down so the basket wouldnt go up.. Yeah needless to say, we got 7th place that day..

I won't lie. Never ever would I do this at a competition, but I never cheered high school until my senior year and when I did they wanted to compete. Our varsity team didnt even have 50% of girls with handsprings, and I was our only standing tuck. (out of 22) our flyers were so inflexible that they couldn't pull heel stretches or scales. I did not want to waste my time competing and neither did 3 other girls. There were 3 stunt groups and we were each in different ones. Too say the least, we did all the work in those groups and we decided if we didn't hit ever, we wouldn't have to compete. So for an entire month before competing, we would "put up" a stunt and immediately catch it in a cradle. ...... Not once did we hit! And our crazy coach still wanted to compete so we flat out just told her we weren't doing it.

a girl on my team doesnt like me so she pushes me out of the stunt and when it falls its automatically WTF Cassie what r u doing im like really???????????? anyone else have that happen
oo and in baskets im the me and the main base catch and she walks out and shes like stop pushing me out!!!!!! when i didnt even touch her

Not sure if this counts as sabotage or wanting attention, but at cheersport in 09 a girl on my team fell out of a stunt and got back in the stunt and decided she didnt want to do the so she sat down on the backspots face and yelled "put me down!" and then she pushed away her bases so they wouldnt try and put her back up. I wish the video was still on youtube so i could post it.

That is just annoying and disrespectful. If they don't want to do it or if they are going to be hateful at practice they have no right to be there. SHOW them the door or id gladly do it for you !! I can't tolerate hateful people at practice and I've luckily haven't had that problem this year

This is the most ridiculous thing! I can't even imagine someone deliberately doing something while performing a routine! Number 1 - its soo not safe - someone could really get hurt &
Number 2 - how could you do that to your team??
As a coach if i had the slightest indication that someone was doing this they would be gone so fast they wouldnt know what hit them!!
