I just wanted to say that Battle tends to give the Coed/lrg Sr divisions the bids. Atleast that is what it has done the past few years that I have been so to me a small Sr team needs to be AMAZING in order to pull off being awarded the bid. Pretty excited that I atleast get to be there on Saturday for my son to compete and then I get to sit back and watch :)

Clearly if they won...they earned it...

Unless there are new divisions. Or athletes graduate. Or the team isn't the exact same how did the new kids on a team that have never been at a gym before 'earn' what last years teams of athletes did?

Unless it is an individual sport (like golf or tennis where I actually think this is done) I think every year is a clean slate.

Has Orange ever earned a bid from here? I feel like they have..although I could be completely out of it.

Dennis Worley has stated that the paid bids will go to the teams that most reflect the all-star challenge style. This is why you see the bids going to TG and GA on the most regular basis.

Our gym considered going to this comp this year but decided on Cheersport nationals. I got so excited but CS is very exciting too. Good luck to all the teams competing. Can't wait to read all about it!

I do not believe Orange, or any Rays team, has gotten a bid from ASC. The teams I can recall getting bids from ASC are WC, TG, GA and CEA.
Rays teams have definitely gotten bids at battle. Not sure about paid but fire and rust both received at large bids for worlds 2011 at battle.

not the point of my comment... at all lol. Yes, yes. They deserved it last year. And deserved it :) I love TG Cory... PS your avatar is a little scary haha.

I'm not making a TG based attack, in fact I'm not attacking you at all...but I can't help but think:

In an industry as large and financially lucrative as All Star cheerleading (especially Worlds)

With a World Champion team and it's coaches dedicating countless hours and finances into a season

And with Worlds being the epitome of what most inside the industry look up to...

Can we not spare more than self satisfaction, a trophy, a banner and the current Worlds Rings?

Fair point, my friend. I just know how much turnover happens each season from one world championship team to the next year's team... and I don't like the idea of a new crop of kiddos coming onto a team and automatically getting a bid for the previous team's accomplishments.

My strong suspicion is that the staffs put in an enormous amount of time and energy into these high profile teams that goes way beyond the monthly tuition. I think they should get the rewards. As a parent, it would mean more to me to see USASF reward their efforts in some way and let the kids and parents enjoy the rings and banners. I would think a nice trip or cruise would work. Let next year's team enjoy the work for the bid.

I don't know a lot about Cheer South Sr. 3, but if they are selling t-shirts I want one. They go immediately after Top Gun Lg Coed and right before CEA Senior Elite. If I wear one of their shirts, I wouldn't have to give up my seat in the Preferred Seating section. Of course I would cheer for them while waiting.

They are from Statesboro, GA. I heard they have the former GA coed 4 coach now helping them. It should be a strong level 3 performance i would think if they look anything like GA did the past 3 years. We will see. LOL

also with the world champion getting an automatic bid, what would you do with panthers who switched from small to medium? they're not in the same division, but they are the same "team"
