do you think it's ok for a team in a small division to only have 4 stunts now a days? i have not really seen any teams only put up 4 stunts so i wanted to see what everyones opinions are. i personally think that you need 5 stunts.
You know my opnion Jamie. Obviously its better to not put up stunts that look like crap in the air... LOL....

Depends upon the team the scoresheet the judges opinion and just what looks best.

For example my mini 2 team of twenty puts up just four baskets and four stunts. I would love five but we have about nine girls that would fly on any other team.... And base on none of them lol so we just put up four hard stunts with good execution. If I had two or three more exceptional bases Id put up five. Keeping that in mind, I made sure that we would kill ever other section of the routine with a good dance, completely maxed out standing tumbling (I counted 88 standing bhs with great variety and good technique and timing) very strong running tumbling (probably about 70 lvl 2 skills in all) and a pretty good pyramid for a mini age team.

However, sr 3, has twenty but with weaker running tumbling. They put up six elites (only one stunt section) , and go all out with every group putting up full ups a release two inversions, one with a 1/4 twist, a full down from two legs and a 1/4 cradle from scale with three body positions. They have a strong pyramid and amazing choreo. They'll be just fine if they hit .

Our sr 5 puts up 4, with only sixteen and an awesome pyramid and choreography for such a small team.

J 5 has 3 with fourteen and no front spots or second jump sequence, but has a strong overall routine

Youth two and all our level 1s max out the numbers and have two stunt sequences.
Point being, every squad has their strengths and needs but five doesn't automatically mean better than 4, when five doesn't look as good. (except at jamfest lol)

How about on a level 5 team...say the 5th possible flyer isn't as flexible as the others, would you put it up and possibly suffer in the execution area?
