"because I didn't know if I would land it.."
... that's why we practice

"because I didn't know you meant we had to tumble.."
... I said full out routine!

I also really love when my kids tell me something hurts when they do a skill so they don't throw it, and it only hurts because they don't fix the ONE thing i've been drilling into their heads the entire season

Okay, I just need to say how much I love you for having Marcel The Shell as your picture.

"i got into a fight and bruised my back. I can't compete this weekend." Imagine how mad i am. Its a bruise, its not going to get worse if you backspot a couple full ups! Kids...

It makes me so mad when other people on my team won't throw stuff in the routine because they are "tired". I have literally pushed myself during practice to the point that I had to run to the bathroom multiple times to throw up. And we did a back tuck circle at the end of another practice when I was sick, and tumbling made me feel sick to my stomach, so in between every tuck I ran to the bathroom to throw up. But I did land all my tucks:)

a girl once said she couldnt do a FORWARD ROLL because her back hurt...I am serious.

To be honest, I have done this before. But it was at high school cheer and we were practicing out state routine on the hard wood in our uniforms and the zipper of the midriff top that goes under out shell hurt my spine so badly. I had brusies from rolling so much that my coach decided that we didn't have to do them every time.

my high school senior year let a girl cheer pregnant to the point that her skirt wouldnt even button, she would pin it. it was her second child. i refused to talk to her at games/ practices/etc. anyone who puts their baby in jeopardy to cheer is absurd

This is so wrong on so many levels...

i would like to inquire as to how that is possible? lol
She apparently went to do her forward roll and hit her head too hard.. :banghead: .. clearly she didn't look for her belly button!!!!
I HAD to laugh when our athletic trainer told me the result of her concussion test!

I have a girl every practice that won't throw a round off tuck when we run it full out. We always threaten her that it will get taken out if she doesn't throw it..well of course that time she does. Today she comes up to us coaches and tells us she doesn't feel comfortable doing it?! Really?! I wanted to tell her to get off the mat!
