Hey everyone I was hoping you would help out . This is for a wonderful person and coach from East Celebrity Elite and friend of mine is selling tshirts for the LYMI fund. One of our good friends has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. As part of the allstar cheerleading community i am asking you to help. Tshirts are 16 a shirt and all monies except cost of shirt will go to AJ for treatment. Please email [email protected] thanks in advance .

AJ has a beautiful, passionate spirit and a genuine love of coaching... She's the kind of coach we all want our daughters to have as a role model. I hope the Allstar industry unites in this last hope effort to save her life. AJ has the opportunity to undergo experimental treatment in Texas if the fundraising efforts are successful. In the spirit of what we all love to do please consider donating. Imagine if this was your best friend, or long time coach. Together we can achieve anything.. Please don't wait.. we can make this a reality for her and give her much needed hope.

Here is the letter we (the parents of ECE) have received and another way to donate and help out this wonderful woman. Sorry the text is so big but I am copying it from a PDF and I couldn't get it to copy any smaller.

To Whom It May Concern,
I am fundraising for my 27 year old staff member, Amy Jones who is a coach at my gym, East Celebrity Elite. Amy is diagnosed with stage 4 cancer which has metastasized to her lungs. She has undergone a few surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy. At this time it is understood that these methods are not going to save Amy’s life since the cancer has again advanced.

Amy is relied on by the hundreds of kids that she touches each day. Recently at work Amy told me, "I forget I’m even sick when I am with my kids." This is the love that she has for her job and her kids. Those that know Amy, know she still has so much more to give with her friendly, outgoing and positive personality.

Amy again has hope! Amy has just been accepted into a clinical trial which has been proven very effective and is her only hope. She will have to travel to Houston, Texas on February 1, 2012 to start receiving the treatment.

I am doing my very best, as well as her family, to set up fundraisers and other alternative routes of raising funds. Amy does not know the cost of this venture since we do not want to put any unnecessary stress on her at this time.

Our goal is to quickly raise the money needed for her treatment and save Amy’s life! Any contribution is greatly appreciated. There is no amount that is too small since every little bit will help as we help Amy to fight. Amy’s motto has always been that it is very easy to say "I Love you" but it is very different to say I Love You AND Mean It." The "LYMI Fund" was created from this motto because we truly do love Amy and we mean it! Thank you in advance for your support!

Is anyone familiar with the type of clinical trial they're talking about? I only ask because I'd heard a story about a doctor in Houston that was performing sketchy cancer-related "clinical trials", and hope Amy isn't being taken advantage of:

The clinic that AJ will attend has had both positive and negative reviews. While there are many, many success stories, there are also those who have not been successful and have sued because of this. AJs regular physicians are from both Yale University and from Boston. Fortunately we live in an area with some of the best hospitals in the world. However, despite the great care AJ has received, standard chemotherapy & radiation will not cure her. AJs regular doctors have recommended that she pursue clinical trials. Much research was done & we are all very hopeful for positive results!
