The cheer skirts that had slits the whole way around it, cause it was cool when you twisted your skirt when out and could see all of your bloomer. Also when you could flip the back of your skirt up and show that crowd your butt cause you have wording on your bloomers.

Knee drops, tension rolls, climbing 3 to 4 persons high (I had no idea what a flyer was, ours climbed), winning at NCA cheer camp was IT! tossing, throwing and any building you could possibly think or dream of was legal (I am not sure anything was ever illegal). Dances were separate from the routine. Having the Nike swoosh tennis shoe was cutting edge! University of Maryland cheerleaders were our guide in high school. They wore the balls on their socks, so did we. They had a one piece uniform, so did we. You didn't have to curl your hair.

yesss!!! i totally forgot about the B&BW roll on glitter! I think I also had a blue one? (tooberry blue or something to that effect?) I was partial to country apple though

I may have looked crazy, but i did smell like an orchard

I remember going to a competition in Galveston Texas and we won the best choreography award. Know what won that? Show-n-go to split sits! With the "Wuz uuupppp?" voiceover of course.

we definitely did NOT jump over the leg hahahaha, i was in like 6th grade, and we could barley keep those up. i think this was supposed to be more creative than a lib since we had no flexibility :confused:

haha I so just watched my cheersport 2002 tape the other night! i was amazed at how bad everything was! from the backdrop to our choreo it was awful, but yet back then we thought it was all amazing!

Competing on wrestling mats and practicing in spaces that required flyers to tilt their heads to the side if they were in extensions....

Not knowing what the heck was going on when a competition busted out not only real mats but 9 of them.. "just ignore they exist"
