How Far Do You/would You Drive To Your Gym??

I drove 15 minutes away for 7 years...so much of a change to now drive 30-35 minutes to get to my new gym for the past 2 years!

It depends on how you feel about driving. I drive 90 mins to my cp's gym. There is 2 gyms that are like 10 mins away from me. There are 3 gyms that are about 45-60 mins away from me. Then there is ours.

I love the people at our gym so we had stayed there. There is a really really really great gym closer (PrimeTyme) but I just couldn't make the move! So it all depends on your preference. I don't mind driving at all and if you don't 40 mins ain't nothing!

Good luck on whatever you decide!

I say all that but this is the last week at our gym because we are moving to San Antonio on Monday; but when I get there my drive will be much shorter to her new gym! So yay:)
what gym will you be going to now??

We drive 20 min each way. i think 40 min is on the upper end of what I personally think is reasonable. i think 40 min also would depend on if i was starting there or switching. if i was already part of a program and there was nothing wrong with it and my cp and i had formed bonds with people...40 min would be too far :) If I was moving somewhere new or just starting out, I might go as far as an hour, depending on practice day/times and the age of my child, and what else fell within a closer radius.

it takes about 30 minutes to drive to my gym i probably wouldnt mind an hour or two but i think 3 or more hours would be way too long for me

I'm really just curious how far you drive to take your CP (or yourself) to practice? Or how far would you drive to get to the best gym around? I, of course, want to send my CP to the best gym in our area, but that particular gym is a 40 minute drive away, and we literally pass 2 other gyms to get to it. I'm totally willing to do it (even though gas costs a fortune! ugh!), but I'm wondering if thats normal, or kind of extreme??
an hour and 3o mins

Now I am fairly close, around half an hour but I was on a team 3 1/2 hours away a few years back. lucky practices were setup I would only have to be there 2 weekends in a month for practices, so it was kinda like a mini holiday camp of cheer awesomeness!

our old gym was 5 minutes from our house, but then my husband got transferred to WA and now our gym is a 40 min drive without traffic. There are some closer to us- but I want her to go to the best :)

there are multiple people at one of our gyms that drive from Indianapolis to aurora, illinois to come to our gym and if you believe that your gym is the best then i don't think it matters but if your gym isn't doing so well i don't think it would be worth it. the people that our gym obviously believe because they worked there but off and got there worlds id there first competition, like if that happened it would be worth it!!! hope it helped!!!

I looked into joining an international open 5 team up in Vancouver, Canada which is about 2.5-3 hours away from Seattle. There was one other IOC5 team that was about 45 min south from me but as a coach of a rival gym it wouldn't have been the best idea to join that team. It ended up not working out with my school schedule so I couldn't do it but I still can't believe I was crazy enough to consider driving that far!

to get to my gym it takes about 30 minutes. but id be willing to drive up to an hour to the best gym around
