Love all the advice and can't wait to meet you. I was called a cheer stalker by one of the parents at my gym cause I love fierce board (I'm just an old mom). Love the parent who called me that and I'm so curious if he will call me out on this post. LOL.

- If you have an iPhone buy one of the phone covers that acts as a battery it's the perfect back up and your phone will never die.

Where do I get one of those? Never heard of that! Would love to keep my phone alive during competitions!

Amazon.com: iphone battery

I think this might be one of the best ones, but it's expensive:

Amazon.com: Mophie Juice Pack Air Case and Rechargeable Battery (Black, Verizon and AT&T iPhone 4): Cell Phones & Accessories

You can also probably get it just about anywhere that sells phone stuff.

This thread is awesome! It's my first time heading to Worlds, so I'm soaking up all the advice I can! :D

Question: How do you get through the 12+ hour days in the Milk House? Energy drinks? Caffeine? Pure adrenaline?

Lots and lots of caffeine. And adrenaline also helps.

But what really helps is looking at the schedule. Seeing all of the best teams in the world back to back to back really wakes you up. You can sleep when you get home :)

Not sure where to ask this so I will throw it in here. This year my uncle is taking me to greece as a graduation present. I am extremely excited but we are leaving the same weekend as worlds, therefore, I cant go down to florida. Does anyone know if verizon has good service/internet in the greek islands? because I will not make it 10 days without knowing if shooting stars hit each day and if they won worlds haha

Verizon doesn't have any service in Greece. It's another country. You can get international roaming but it's going to cost you an arm and a leg. Your best bet is hoping for wifi in the hotel. Or trying to get an international plan for the amount of time you're there.

Actually, I don't think your phone will work at all abroad, at least not in Greece. Verizon uses a technology that isn't really used much outside of the US.

Going abroad? Don't be afraid to pack the cell phone - CNN.com

Depending on where you're going.... usually everywhere, where you find lots of tourists, you will find some sort of internet café. I'd also try in a public library if you have no luck finding sth else.
Or you just find a greek guy who thinks that you're cute and ask him if you can use his internet :D (they're usually really into blondes... speaking from experience).
