and honestly what cheerleaders did they talk to since the majority disagree...get some real data please. If your going to go off opinion instead of statistics why dont you survey every gym from around the world...

I heard that the data is from a survey that was sent out to people.

I just can't picture most teams with a full top uni..

My 9 year old daughter is on a senior 3 team. Does that mean she will have to be taken off of that team? Is this rule for all all star gyms?
Depends on when she's turing ten, but I think the answer is, yep, she'll have to go to a junior team.

While I don't necessarily agree with the tumbling rules (I don't think it really affects a large enough group of people to make sense), the comment I keep reading over and over is to make the coaches learn to teach these skills. That's a great idea, but how do we propose to do that? Who would be in charge of governing that? What would the standard be?

I have been sitting on this tread from the start but not sure if this was covered. So I know.. no standing fulls or standing double fulls. Standing BHS fulls are still o.k. right? Or will they not be o.k. as they are standing skill?

I really dont get the logic on people getting hurt more in standing tumbling. Sure that may be true, but in gymnastics if more gymnasts get hurt on beams and bars more than anything else, should they take that out? A lot of people get injuries during football/track/soccer because they twisted their ankles. Should they TOTALLY eliminate running from track, soccer, and football to make it safer? Bottom line, no matter what sport you do, it's dangerous to an extent. But drastic changes like these are the starting point of drastic changes to this sport in the future.

As a gym owner I have a ton of devestated athletes! This does not help the growth of our sport! Eliminating the skills that set teams apart from another is not going to fix the problem! Investing in the growth of knowledge and proper education to coaches and programs would! I truly believe this will take the enthusiasim out of our sport, and it will stunt our industries growth! It doesn't seem the USASF thought this through. Gym owners need to rise up for the sport and the athletes!
AGREE!
