i figure since the new rules only restrict backwards tumbling, is it legal to do a front double? i know i have one, and it would be sick to do one at worlds![/quote
Running doubles are legal so unless your doing a standing front double, yes, this is legal and not a loophole.
I just said this in another thread. I foresee a ton of injuries (more so than before) from people trying crazy front passes because what else do they have to do...way to fix the problem...If the wording of rules, is as simple as they put it, they just left a large grey area allowing tricks that are just as "dangerous" in my opinion as the ones they took out!
would a whip one and a half through to double be legal?
That would be a first. Maybe this will be the time they finally do it right?...but for the wrong rules. The rules haven't actually been written. Les Stella and the Rules committee will be doing that. I'm expecting the language will be pretty specific.
isnt that how it always isThat would be a first. Maybe this will be the time they finally do it right?...but for the wrong rules.

yes because when you stepout into the round off to bhs you are now legally doing the correct entry...totally legal pass, my favorite pass of all time actually.no. under the current rule, a double must be preceded by a handspring.
