Well, we're the oddballs of the cheer world I've determined. If you've seen aviator we have these light up signs and our flight crew brings the noise. That pretty much comes from our family. My husband makes the signs and I coordinate the bag of noise. That being said, we are there for our first team (minis and Tinys) all the way through our gym to our smoed lv 5. We stay at the arena all day and support all 10 of our teams. Our gym split this year and lv 1-2 went to Raleigh to king of the jungle and the next week 3-5 went to cheersport nationals. We traveled to Raleigh (my daughter ended up filling in for an injury but we were going anyway) and we also traveled to our smoed lv5 two competitions where they were the only ones to compete. We didn't go to UCA but I logged into the live feed. So, if there's an aviator team on the floor whether our kids are on it or not, we're there.I can totally relate to having my 2 CPs on the same team! My youngest who is 12 now, was on Youth 2 and Sr 3 and my oldest just turned 15; she has been on Sr 4 for 2 years now. My youngest CP has gotten her level 4 skills this season so I am hoping that she will be on Sr 4 with her sister. It was exhausting this year supporting 3 different teams with Youth always being one of the first to compete and the senior teams being one of the last ones. It will be awesome to only have one all-star team to support (this doesn't include their school cheer squads!)
So we're used to being there for the first team and staying through to the last even though mine are usually on in the middle of the pack, so competitions wont change much for us. But, it will be nice on the practice schedule. Right now were there Sunday through Thursday. This might get us to 3 days a week if they're on the same team.
