No, foreign teams can enter the senior club divisions if they follow the appropriate age grid. Most don't which is why it can be weird seeing them in these divisions.
I guess what gets me is the Cheerforce Spakles being in the 'paid' grouping. And if they did indeed get a paid bid can we go the competitions where they get their bids and compete for them? They aren't even listed in the Wiki bids list. I thought that was the purpose of the 'International' Divisions. Just curious!

I would guess you could go to their country and compete for a bid, but the way I understand it is there are very few if any paid bids in other countries. The purpose of the international division is to allow those countries who follow different age guidelines, but I think in Canada they are closer to following the same grid we use here then then European countries. It is weird seeing them in the senior club divisions, but great all at the same time.

Best of luck to them then!!

I think the majority of international competitions require you to be from that country to get a bid.

Ah I wasn't sure because I don't think I have ever heard of a team ever going to another country for a bid. I figured it would be tricky for paid bids because of the difference in price and monetary value, but for at larges I figured it wouldn't matter.

Plus the money you would spend on an international competition probably would cancel out the bid money won.

The New England teams could probably drive to Montreal for a competition, maybe some teams in Washingtoncould do, like, Vancouver, but that's probably it.

US Teams cannot go out and get a bid from another country. Not sure if it works the other way as well. I would assume that would be true though.

So basically all the divisions are International since they can choose any division to compete in and attend Worlds in as long as they meet age grid requirements. Guess that makes all of people who say only the 'International Divisions' at Worlds are truly 'Worlds' wrong then eh?!! That's awesome :)

The only true worlds divisions are still the "International" Divisions because, 9/10, it's the only division most international gyms can field teams in. It's great that there are international teams in the club divisions, but it's still a long ways away before those are truly international.

(This isn't directed only towards you) but are we seriously going to bring out conspiracy theories with the Worlds Lottery? Take large coed for example, there is a total of 13 teams competing, and I'd say 6 big names, so the chances are PRETTY good that big name teams are going to end up together. It is rather strange how some of these divisions ended up, but I think if they were going to rig the performance order, they'd say they did a private drawing and just post the results rather than go through the hassle of a FREE live webcast.
No I completely agree... I was just being silly :) People get so worked up and after what I read on twitter etc it was just funny lol .. all in good fun !

Cheerforce Sparkles did get a partial-paid bid, I have no idea why they are in the paid-bid group...
And they are not in the wiki bids list, because noone from Germany updated it this year (I actually did last year for the teams from Germany, but forgot this year, when the bid-wiki wasn't up until a couple of months after our bid-competition).

The competition they earned their bid at is always at pentecost and only European Teams (from certain countries) can earn bids there. The bids are given out by german divisons, and teams can then choose which division they want to compete at at worlds. There are 4 bids given out - 1 junior allgirl (which is closest to senior allgirl in the US), 1 junior coed (which is closest to senior coed), 1 senior allgirl (which is closest to level 6 open allgirl, but a young senior team last year competed level 5 to not leave team members at home), 1 senior coed (which would be level 6 open coed).

But I know that many bids that are given out outside of the US have the teams compete in the international divisions.
