Flexibility?

Sorry if this has been asked before but does anyone else have to stretch loads before they can pull off a flexibility skill?
I have to stretch my splits for at least 20 minutes before they get down, is that normal?
 
I must admit, that is a little long to take to get into your splits, but it will get easier as you stretch more and more everyday. I can always pull off body positions at whatever time, but they look a little better after I've been stretching for 20 minutes. If you need more stretches, I would go to "Cheer Stretching With Gabi Butler" a video on youtube, of course, by Gabi Butler! Haha. :) But like I said earlier, the more you stretch, to easier and the less time you will need to spend to get into your splits. And don't forget, stretch everyday! :D
 
Thank you! Haha I slacked off stretching around Easter and it got worse like you said it would, oops!

Hi, okay so it honestly depends what you want to stretch.
