Hey everyone, I was wondering if you could help me out. A friend of mine is moving back to Calgary this summer. She is looking for a new cheer gym for her daughter. She is 13. She isn't on the boards so she dosen't really have a way to ask around and get info so I thought I would do it for her and pass it on. What better place then the Oh Canada thread!! :) Anyone know of good places around there? Thanks!! Oh and how can I get one of those Oh Canada shirts!!

My gym (perfect storm athletics) is in Edmonton and it's about 3 hours away from Calgary, but we have girls that drive from Red Deer and one from Calgary for practices.

Great!! Thank you soo much!!
The Alberta Cheerleading Association website will give you a listing of all the gyms and their contact information. Many athletes travel across the province to practice with other clubs. I didn't think it was fair to point out just the ones I prefer.... everyone has different opinions... use the list and find your own fit :) Best of luck to your friend and her family!!

I think most of us know that Twist is doing a cover contest right now. I'm gonna go ahead and ask anyone who reads this forum to click here and like IO6 Worlds Bound Inferno member and fab coach Megan from Perfect Storm's photo. Feel free to post the photo of your gym's representative so we can all like it too! :)

Hey! My name is Ashley Impellezzere and I cheer for the IO5 team from Vancouver All Stars. I have been entered into a contest to be featured on the front of Twist a Canadian Cheerleading magazine. I've been cheering now for 10 years 4 of which I've competed at worlds in the All Star Division as well as ICU (Team Canada All Girl and Group Stunt). In the past I went to worlds motivated to of come out on top, however this year I will be attending with a different motivation. A month and a half ago my Dad passed away suddenly, and since then I have made him my motivation to keep going. This year I will be taking the floor at the 2012 worlds in honour of my Dad. I will prove not only to myself but everyone else that with the love and support of your team mates and the people around you, you have the power to over come anything.

If you support my story please follow the link above and "like" my photo so I can be featured in 2012 spring addition of TWIST and share my story with the world.

Thank you :D
