Aw thanks kboo! At one competition (LIVE! Biloxi) they boooommbbed and dropped a lot of stunts. They lost to a team that was no where near their level of difficulty or execution. It was quite a wake up call for them. They had to change their attitude to match their skills. Their mental game is what we had to work on more than anything else.
I'm so proud of these girls!

Thank you! You're makin me blush!
Don't, you should be so proud. Your girls made it look effortless and that can only come with amazing coaching. Take the credit for what you have achieved with them. We always talk about what the athletes have achieved, but actually the coaches achieve just as much, just in a different way ;)
I've watched the routine now about 6 times, just in awe of it all :)

Thank you. You made my day

I don't know enough about the specific situations mentioned here to directly comment on the gyms or teams in particular. However, as a general comment, there are several things that are unethical IMO, or at best tacky:

1. blatant sandbagging
2. directly copying choreography, music, unique skills directly from another team - particularly within the same season/division
3. recruiting athletes who you KNOW to be a part of another program (approaching them first)
4. not teaching proper sportsmanship (booing other teams or cheering for a rivals mistakes or injuries)

None of those things are directly against the rules. None of them are "cheating" in a technical sense. The only real "downside" to your program comes from the hit your program's reputation takes. I suppose every gym owner has to do what is best for their program. If a set of NCA jackets helps you more than the damage to your reputation hurts you, then I suppose you have made a smart business decision.
In response to #3....how about building a fake Facebook profile (profile picture stolen offline and a name claiming to be a high school student where there was no student enrolled at that school by that name) and sending friend requests to athletes from three area gyms and their parents for the sole purpose of advertising for your program (by acting like an excited high school girl posting their tryout information) that wants to organize a carpool from your area. Not. Even. Kidding. Happened within the last 24 hours. And here I thought I'd seen it all.

Now that our season is over I wanted to share these from our program. I don't have kids on these teams but they are fierce. The first is our large youth 2, they only lost twice in the year and by narrow margins when our own mistakes got us. The vast majority of this team is actually mini age, they're a very young youth team. The future is really bright for this group of kids!

And this was our brand new senior 2 this year. They won the Atlanta All levels this weekend. They were such a great team to watch all season long!

Perhaps there's an explanation as to why Rockstarz "The Who" competed this last weekend at the Southeast All Levels Championship when they openly defended their rapid formation of the level 2 team stating adamantly that NCA was to be their last competition ever. Maybe their jackets didn't fit so they want rings instead.
