I don't want to put them down at all. I truly hope it works out but what about the levels 1-4? If i was apart of those programs I would feel like they don't care about the lower levels , are they suppose to say their force too? I just don't get it plus they are so different in styles. I feel like they're doing this to have a "larger impact" at worlds saying they're "force" with 6 teams , what about OC dance worlds teams are they force too? Otherwise their would be fOrCe cheer and OC dance but still related to the same gym?

I agree with you that the joint practice can work but for level 5 i think they need to meet more then once a week to mix together, CG 5 came together a lot more once they started have two practices a week wouldn't you agree?

I agree, this year the extra practices helped because the Petaluma gym was new to our program so they had a different style. The extra practices helped everyone get on the same page. It will definitely be similar for OC and Fierce because they have very different styles so, like us, it will take a lot of hard to work to get on the same page and working together... however, the result can be amazing ;D

Exactly how I feel. And plus, they said (initially) to support one another as they were the only gyms with single teams going to worlds. OC took three teams this year. Plus dance? I'm confused?

yes the style from Airborne to cheergyms was different , I think in the end they meshed better but I guess what I am saying is that if they had had the two a week practices from the start it might of happened sooner =).

I'm from the opposite side of the continent so I'm not even trying to pretend like I know anything about Cali cheer. But is this basically a step towards combining the entire programs... or just a step towards creating powerhouse level 5/6 teams?

Yep I could see that, but we can't turn back time ;)
I'm just glad that all my little petaloomers are a part of the CG family now <3

Back to OC/Fierce... I wish them the best and can't wait to see what they put together this year!

Look at the big picture people. Fierce and OC merge then they become Cali Allstars a year from now. Bucky on the Cali staff :) WOW!!!!

Ummm I dont see that happening and I wouldnt be very happy because I love going against Fierce & OC. Im sure if Bucky wanted to be on Cali staff , he would.
I truly hope this will work out for them, but I just dont see how having a seperate program just for your level 5 & 6 would work. New business name, new accounting, new uni's, etc. and you wouldnt be able to pull so easily from your lower levels from their own program (Fierce, OC) if needed, since they are a different program. I guess we will see how this works out and I hope they can create some great competition!!!
