I can't imagine still competing at this point, worlds is the end of our season. We're in evaluations this week and will post new teams this weekend. I'm excited about the new season, I would die if we were still in the last one?
my gym has a team going to this competition, and i know a lot of parents wanted to do this as a "fun" competition because of it's location. we also went to it last year, and it was a fun weekend, one last weekend to compete and spend with your team both on and off the mat.

Thats cool. You might start later than we do as well. We kick off with our flight show within a week of Halloween and hit the mat the first week in November at cheersport in Charlotte and it's wide open through worlds after that. It was a marathon this year, we'd never been to worlds or all levels so late April was already pushing a month longer than we had been doing. Still going now would have been way too much for us.

Good luck!

yes you do start earlier than us, normally we start late november early decemeber with competitions and our kickoff night for the parents is in early november!

I've seen alot of EP's moving Youth and Mini's later because there was such a complaint about them being in the early morning and it being too early for kids that age to compete. Doesn't seem that being that late helps either.

Brain research (regarding school) shows that younger kids do better early in the morning (7:30 a.m.) while older kids (HS) aren't ready until after 9:30 a.m. and can go on longer. I would think cheer would be the same situation.#geekypost

i have been attending this competition every year since i started all stars so around 5 years and every year it goes this late or sometimes even later. last year we didn't get back to the hotel til i think around or past 1 a.m. Its always alot of fun but just such a long day.... last season i was one of the last teams to compete and it was cool because everyone was there to watch because of awards but we were all just so tired! Most of the time they run late too which stinks:(
