All-Star Not Making Same Team

What about at gyms that have a more defined "premier/flagship" level 5 team (WC [Stars], Twisters [F5], Rays [Orange], etc.)? Do athletes often get moved from these teams to others within the program?

That's exactly what I was thinking. As a boy, my team would be set--> but as a girl, I feel like it's a pretty big deal. Esp at these three gyms specifically. Stars have a separate tryout, special ceremonies, and a dedication wall for its alum; Orange has a lot more gear (hoodies/shirts/shorts) it seems like (speculation from seeing Rays at Cheersport); and I'm assuming has a number of similar perks (2/3 unis per season). I think Smoke, Ody, and Reign are all very solid teams, but I'd imagine *most* athletes would still want to be on the team that gives them the best shot at winning NCA and/or Worlds. In this case, that's F5, Orange, and Stars.

We have had kids not make the same team the next year. For example, we had more talented kids tryout for our i-5 team this past year so a few kids that were on it the year before didn't make it. You have to continue to work on your skills if you want to remain on a team or move up because what is good enough one year might not be good enough the next year.

just cuz ur on a team one year, doesn't mean the coaching staff is obligated to put you on the next year. If a girl is awesome good at tryouts and in the summer but then starts slacking and doing the bare minimum, why would they get their spot back? Especially if some little runt from jrs has been working their tail off and can now tumble circles around that girl? Or a new girl walks in at the next tryouts with twice as many skills...

Sometimes it has to do with what the individual athletes bring to the team. Maybe the team you were placed on really needs someone who has a particular skill that you have. Maybe you're a beast base and they need you to do that for them. Maybe you can dance well and they need an awesome dancer in their front row. Sometimes it has more to do with the overall roundness of the team and the complete package that is going on the floor. The group of kids that shows up for evaluations is what the coaches have to work with. I know it must be like putting together an amazingly hard jigsaw puzzle to get the teams right. Just remember what you bring and how valuable it is for the team you're on, and make this year great.
