we use coloron pro. for some comps we use the zebra eyes, and some we do just a blue and white one. they are so quick and easy. my team parents LOVE them

Our colours are navy blue, gold and white; we've used MAC glitter for the past four years and it's lasted us well. Our eye makeup is white gold glitter on the lid (sounds a little excessive, but the glitter is gold mixed with white so it comes across a bit more subtle than gaudy... as subtle as glitter can be! ;)). We also always use a hot pink lipstick; most teams wear red, so it gives us a chance to stand out. I realize in writing, all together, that sounds extremely tacky, but it's actually a lot classier than you'd imagine and the kids love it.

This past year, I suggested going to shimmer eyeshadow and the kids were devastated (they would rather have gone outside in the rain to apply glitter (offering me sweatshirts to sit on!) than have shimmer eyeshadow...) so the glitter stayed for the 2011-2012 season! Myself and our tumbling coach do every kids glitter (we usually have a team between 13-18; the kids show up with base makeup and while we're applying glitter they do their own liner and mascara); it's not as efficient as getting them makeup kits, but it ensures that everyone's early for competition, everyone looks the same and I love it because I personally get a moment with each of the kids on competition morning! It gives me a chance to check in with them, see who's nervous and if anyone needs any help, and the kids love it because it's one little moment of relaxation before the chaos and they say they love the little personal moment with us... it was slightly problematic at our last competition last year, because our Seniors (and us coaches) cried through the entire "last makeup" ever...

For games I always just wore whatever I had worn to school that day with a few touch ups, nothing fancy. For competition, it honestly depended on my mood. Some competitions, I had to compete for All Star and High School cuz both teams were going for US Finals bids. Those days my high school make up had to be light enough that my All Star stuff could go over it. Most competitions it was some combination of silver glitter or shimmer with blue eye liner.

I have my girls wear what we call "Performance Natural" on game days. Meaning, looking alive, but not like they are going to the club. On Competition, they wear smokey grey/black eyeshadow, false lashes, and bright red lips. Our colors are Red, White and Black. They each get their own makeup bag with the required makeup for the entire comp season, so they have no choice. ;)

my school did nothing. no makeup other than what they wore to school i know boring right?

I was told that glitter was illegal because it was a safety hazard?!?! Maybe my middle school coach didn't know what she was talking about....

I remember a few years back we weren't allowed to wear glitter at certain competitions. (im in Cali) but i believe it has changed now since there are makeup companies making glitter makeup and not just the arts and crafts stuff. however, i could be wrong.

My coach would never let us wear glitter. Even when we couldn't stunt due to field conditions, because the glitter would "get in our eyes." So bummed.

For games, we wear natural colored makeup with a nice lip stick to look clean and fresh. "All American" as my coach likes to call it.

Pretty much the same for competition expect we can go a little heavier to stand out among the bright lights. I kinda wish we could have some sort of shimmer or glittery eyeshadow to add a bit more pizzaz for competition. Oh well.

For High School we just do our make-up however we want. For competition we all had matching glitter eyeshadow and lipstick.

We just do a really light silvery eyeshadow with lots of glitter over it and black eyeliner (sparingly) and mascara. Lip gloss is optional:p

Our school is a vocational school, so a number of our athletes are majoring in aesthetics. For each competition, anyone who's interested posts photos of what they come up with on our Facebook group and they vote on what to do. (We retain veto!!) Gets them all interested and involved, and their teachers in that class are happy we're giving them some opportunities to apply some of what they've learned!
