So every year our coach lets the girls come in with new ideas for make up. I would like to try and find something different they they haven't done at least in the past couple of years. Our colors on the eyes are blue and silver and OMG that silver gets everywhere! So if anyone has any ideas on a new design or even how they deal with the silver dust eye shadow that would be great to see!

do a smokey eye with the blue and add silver? idk much about makeup

What about this? Thanks Pinterest!

you should do something similar to senior elite. The rest of cheer extreme does their makeup differently, but senior elite does a teal + silver smokey eye. it's so gorgeous!

Look on youtube. Sounds silly but thas where we had to go for our makeup tutorial last year and the colors are blue based with silver glitter eyeliner. Good luck!

Why dont you switch what silver product you use if it's too messy etc? I personally rarely use loose pigmented shadows because they get so much fallout under the eye, but you can minimise that by using a cream primer (i use a waterproof eyeshadow stick by GOSH cosmetics but i'm not sure you can get them in the USA? MAC Paint pots or shadesticks do the same sort of thing - use a neutral base for subtle priming or a silver/white base for more striking colour) because it sticks better than to a bare eye. Also, if you have enough hands/help, have someone hold a tissue under the eye and regardless of whether you can see any or not, sweep the cheek with a fan brush after eye makeup just in case you miss any fallout.

I'm personally a massive glitter-hater. I think it looks messy unless you spend AGES applying it and I know at competitions time is of the essence, as well as looking way too toddlers-and-tiaras on a lot of kids or not sophisticated and mature enough for seniors. If I were in charge i'd bulk buy matte eyeshadows in the right blue shades and a slightly satin/frost finish silver for the inner corners and tailor the makeup looks accordingly.

A list of recommended products (don't shy away from more expensive stuff, ask everyone to contribute a few dollars each to the purchase of some good makeup and you get much better quality therefore value for money because you're not forever reapplying)...

-MAC Eyeshadows - Electra (frosted silver), Sea and Sky (duo with a sky blue and a royal blue, slightly frosted finish) and Deep Truth (matte deep navy blue)
-MAC Paint Pots or Shadesticks (for use before shadows to help reduce fallout and increase staying power)
-Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner in black - even if you just draw the tiniest line and flick on the outer corners and taper it in, it adds a bit of definition. And it DOES NOT MOVE unless you physically remove it with a good cleanser or wipe. If it comes in a blue, even better.
-Benefit High Beam or Moonbeam - its a highlighter that can be used under eyebrows, on cheekbones etc. Beyonce uses it to catch light on her nose so it appears narrower, but you can just use a tiny bit to add definition without adding colour all the way up to your eyebrows.

I like this one! And as for the silver getting everywhere.. Hairspray your face! I know it sounds like a really bad idea, but it works, especially with glitter and loose eyeshadows (you just have to let the eyeshadow settle a little before you hairspray it). When you hairspray your face (wow that sounds silly), make sure not to scrunch up your eyes, just close them normally. And always wash it off when you get done or get home! You'll break out if you don't):

Definetly use eyeshadow primer! And the best shimmery and glittery eyeshadows I have used are Jesse's Girl, Urban Decay, and Bareminerals. Not only do they look gorgeous, but they have the perfect amount of shine! I actually where a little sparkle everyday:) I live for it. You can also use sparkle eyeliner- Ulta has some for $6.

Although this is all really helpful and true, you have to remember that the makeup is for young girls and they are most likely not going to be buying makeup from a department store for cheerleading.

PRIMER!!! Makes such a huge difference in making the eye shadow last all day. CVS or any drugstore sells L'Oreal De-Crease Eye Shadow Base, which is like $6 and the tube will last all season. Works for loose shadows, glitter, cream shadows. This should be a must in every cheer make-up bag.

Go to Google or Tumblr and just search "silver and blue make up". You'd be surprised what you may find. You'll get pictures from everywhere and then can narrow down ones you like. Once you find one you like, practice the style on you or your friends and then show your coach.

You could always do eyeshadow stickers to eliminate the silver powdery mess . I've heard several teams swear by them. All the glam of perfect eyeshadow application minus the difficulties.....plus the coaches and parents don't get stuck having to correctly apply each girl's makeup or making sure that everyone's makeup looks the same.
Example: Customize | eye shadow, coloronpro, instant makeup | colorOn Professional (Maybe in color "Charm"?)
I believe there is also another company that makes FAME's eye stickers which are more blinged out.

Like someone else suggested, use silver eyeliner. You could always put on a liquid black if silver doesn't show up/stick good. Here's something I found just on google, YouTube will have tons of tutorials too if you just search. And if you'd like more silver than that, you can get shimmery (not glittery!) eyeshadow and blend it into the inner corner.
