High School Jv Cheering At Some Varsity Games

At my school JV cheers half of the third quarter of every game. A lot of the varsity girls think this is unfair. However, I remember when I was on JV, and how important I felt getting to cheer at a varsity game, and I don't really mind.

Freshmen, JV, and Varsity cheer at all home Varsity football games. Freshmen and JV also cheer at the home freshmen and JV football games, but not away games. Just Varsity cheers at all away games.

For basketball, JV and Varsity cheer at home Varsity games and the Freshmen cheer for the home JV games. For away games, JV cheers for JV and Varsity cheers for Varsity. It's quite confusing.

Jv cheers at homecoming, senior night, and our big cross-town rivalry game, which just happened to be on ESPNU last year!

For the spring classic, Varsity cheers all quarters & JV cheers last, & if they're good they can cheer 3rd as-well. (This year they only cheered 4th)

But last year they decided to let freshman cheer so they waited till the new school year for tryouts & they only were a team for a few weeks or so & were allowed to cheer with Varsity for the senior game.

That's what happened to us last year! (The one year I decided not to cheer school, they were on the local news, ESPNU & got to cheer at a game that was at one of my friends school two hours away that I never see!! -_-

The only Varsity game our JV team only gets cheer at is the first half of the Homecoming game.

That's how my school is also (sort of:p). JV cheers all home football games, and only varsity cheers away games. Basketball, wrestling, and hockey season, everyone cheers but only at home games, we don't travel with the teams (which sucks:/).

Our JV and Freshmen would cheer the first half of homecoming with us and anything we did in the first half, including dances, stunts, etc, they did with us! It was a nice unity thing. Freshmen/JV cheerleaders were allowed to walk and be with the varsity cheerleaders on Senior Night if they had a Senior sibling on the field. Other than that, everything was kept separate!

That sounds very confusing

JV and Freshman cheer the first half of our first home game + halftime (because that's when we have the little girls from youth camp perform the dance they learned) and at Senior Night. JV also gets to cheer with Varsity at the Lucas Oil Invitational at the Colts football stadium. Cool experience!

Varsity cheers for Varsity games. Jv cheers for Jv games. Im a little confused why so many of you have it where Jv cheers so much of Varsity games. Thats a very strange concept to me. Our student section would have a fit if JV was cheering for Varsity. While we do have some underclassmen on our Varsity, seniority is very important at my school.

For football, Varsity cheers at all varsity games. JV cheers at all jv and freshman home games, not away.
For basketball, the only games the cheerleaders perform at are the ones where we play our rival. Basketball games ate usually left to the pom team.

yeah our JV team cheers homecoming but last year the JV football games kept getting cancelled and weren't being rescheduled so the coach picked a game and said the JV can cheer at that game since they had only cheered 3 games. If that happens again the coach will prob do that again

We let them cheer at the homecoming game but on the parent side haha. I'm a firm believer of Varsity games should be for varsity cheerleaders. Otherwise, there would be no point in having a varsity and a jv
