I hope they implement a no cross over rule from worlds to the Summit. Compete at one or the other.IMO
I think that would be difficult to implement. Our gym is small (7 teams) and lots of cross-overs. Esp between the worlds and SRR5 team. I don't know if the kids could choose between the two-but will they have cross-overs at the Summit? I know you can't at worlds, but I think on lower levels there are so many instances of cross-overs. Something I guess we will all figure out this year.

I just think it would be terrible to see kids that competed at Worlds one week, show up on a level 3 , 4 or Restricted 5 the next week at The Summit. Without some type of no Worlds crossover rule teams could stack up. IMO crossovers and a prestigious title don't mix. I love Worlds & NCA crossover rules.

Then again since there are a limited amount of bids being handed out the amount of crossovers is limited, and there would be a small amount of athletes going from Worlds to The Summit

??? The amount of bids has nothing to do with how many crossovers.

If you are going to NCA (which has the crossover limit rule) then that means that there will be less crossovers that are attending The Summit depending on which teams in your gym receive a bid

I really hope they don't win rings too...
I hope they do! I mean, granted they shouldn't say "world champions", because it's not Worlds (and there is also no international teams competing most likely) but a "The Summit Champion" ring would be nice. These athletes work hard too, and even though they're not on a Worlds team, they still deserve the opportunity to get a ring!

I would be fine with a Summit Champ ring! Just not a "World Champ" ring! Those different things. It would be cute for them to do a champ jacket as well!

Varsity All Star will be selecting teams to take the climb to The Summit by offering bids at their existing World Bid Events and at least eight other two-day events. An anticipated 450 partial paid and at large bids will be offered throughout the 2012-2013 season. The Level Grand Champions from the 2012 International All Levels Championship have already received partial paid bids to defend their titles in 2013.

Looks like no fully paid bids only partial.........:(
no, go read the website. They're only giving out paid bids and at large bids.

I think that someone will always find a way to say that the no crossover thing will effect your gym cause you are small , but I fully support the no crossover from worlds to the summit. I am not saying you can't be on two summit teams. I am saying no Large Senior 5 at worlds and then Large Senior 4 at summit. No bueno.

I would love for my team to go!
We don't have a worlds team (as of the summer) and I only live two hours away from Orlando so my team could take a bus if we got a paid bid! The only competition we're attending that hands out bids is UCA so we better bring it that weekend :)
