This one got posted earlier, but here is the back of it too, it was the cake congratulating Co-X and Onyx on their worlds bids... and yes the rhinestones were real, you had to take the rhinestones off before you ate the cake.

For people wondering about the cutting of such lovely tiered cakes... generally each tier is on its own "platform" (cardboard or plastic) which is supported all the way to the base of the cake. When cutting, each tier is removed from the assembly and then sliced.

If you are making the cake yourself and not that experienced with fondant, there are many simple things to do with buttercream! One technique I've used often for cheerleading cakes is essentially tracing a pattern (like a logo) onto the cake and filling it in / outlining it with a variety of stars and lines. Wilton has a good description of the technique (and many others!) on their website: Transferring Patterns.

my birthday always happens to fall the week of routine camp. (yes, I know, it sucks spending your birthday getting yelled at.lol.) So we have a bonding party and do a cake there, but I have a cake for my actual birthday.
this was my cake at the bonding party-

I wouldn't of chosen red, but it's my gym's colors :p

One team I was on had several birthdays every month. We had cupcakes almost every other practice. One of my friends got a veggie platter instead. And cake lol.

My sister took my birthday cake (my SWEET SIXTEEN CAKE) and used it for her friends surprise 15th birthday party. The cake didn't have my name- it only said happy birthday, but still... THAT WAS MY CAKE! Thank god my mom ordered my team cupcakes earlier that day or I would have gone crazy.
