I've been working on my whip for months now and have had trouble connecting the whip into a back handspring. Last night I finally threw a robhs whip bhs bhs tuck 4 times! I'm so happy because I really struggle with finding specialty passes that work for me since I can't front tumble for my life! I can't wait to work it to layouts this week!

Ever since I switched gyms last season, i lost some tumbling, and realized how i wasn't really that powerful of a tumbler. The past month after try outs, i have been busting ro bhs tucks which i know i can land, something was always off about it. In the past week I don't know where my power came from but I am working specialty passes through to tuck and my coach agrees that I have become a much more powerful tumbler!

I just had to post this because i am super proud right now. This is the first night my baby worked with Lacey :)

She's beast! She was working super hard and I know it's gotta be difficult to toss my lanky long self! Haha love her:) She kept saying,"Yepp there's my Mom up there trying to video me!" haha

Haha I wish I would have got the group one. I'm not gonna lie I had my doubts that she would be able to get you up because yall are the same height and you have such long legs lol. I was extremely proud to see yall do it and I can't wait to see it progress this season :)

I know! I'm super excited!:) it's gonna be a fun year! I have faith in us!

My CP 8 and her stretching progress. She is very self-motivated this season.

Jaylen is soooooooo close to her Ro, bhs, tuck, bhs, bhs, tuck

She has worked it off and on tumbling out of her Tuck but it has always been a pause between her tuck and BHS.

Tonight she must of been confident she tumbled perfect out of her tuck and connected the bhs for the first time without a spot.

So anyways after that she must have been really feeling her self and having total confidence she goes to do it again the 2nd time by herself and she completely face springed into the ground. It was bad!! She even knocked some rhinestones off her eyelashes. Lol

I was wondering if she would do it again without a pause and the very next pass she connected her BHS so I was happy she didn't let her faceplant scare her. Then started with the bhs bhs tuck. She is getting a light spot mostly on the tuck I think she will do it within a week. Lol sorry I'm excited! I know she doesn't have it yet but the last 2 days I have seen total confidence in all her tumbling!!!

Okay, so I'm bragging on my program here rather than my kids. They're not on this team, but we're one big ole family in our gym so these kids are like my own...we even traveled to support them in competitions my kids weren't even competing in. My DH is the "sign guy" and you can see him when this starts at the bottom right with his "Blue Angel" sign, it's our double A logo in Blue with a 6 foot span of aluminum angel wings, you can't really see it here but he has luminescent wire outlining both the wings and the AA's. It's awesome.

But, in any case....this just went up on our gyms Facebook page. This was our first ever Lv 5 team and they went to Worlds a few weeks after this. I feel a bit bad that this was the best video to put up for our last pass tumbler....he NEVER misses anything. He competed at cheersport's SYTYCT and usually almost over rotates his double...I'd never seen him miss, but even beasty tumblers have their moments.

That being said, this was the first 5 we ever put together and I'm thinking if this is how we started in the world of level 5 it's only getting better from here on out :) LOVE these kids!!!!

Awwwww. That's awesome! PM me your schedule and if we're at any of the same comps I'll get you some photo ops with whatever team you want! We have an album on FB for "friends from other cheer programs"

:D

Just heard from my daughter, Elmo, that one of our Bows & Arrows athletes threw her unassisted forward roll for the first time tonight. Her name is Betts and she's one of the hardest working athletes I ever coached. She's been on the team for 7 years now and been trying since the first night.

She never, ever, ever quit. And tonight she did it!

I'm just so proud of her, I could burst.

She's on the far left in this picture from a few years ago.

Today I had a MAJOR breakthrough and I really feel the need to share it with somebody! At my first comp last season I had a not so nice fall to my back doing a roundoff tuck. I stopped doing them completely for the rest of the season. Slowly I've been getting back into the groove of things (standing tucks on tramp, air track) and today my coach decided she wanted me to do R/O tucks (on air track)! I was so scared at first, but I surprised myself by actually doing it! I even did a bunch by myself!! I'm so excited! :)

They are awesome!! That team has some incredible stunting ability especially for a first time level 5 team. I also LOVED the dance. It's so clean and sharp. I'll definitely be cheering for them this season :cheering:
