The issue is whether school cheerleading is recognized as a sport. That will have restrictions placed on it. All-star cheerleading doesn't need any official designation as a "sport"

How about we get off the tangent of recognizing school cheerleading as a sport and focus on getting folks to realizing that the screenshot that has been going around is creating a false truth.

I know the screenshot came from this article, and I know that people are misinterpreting it. What, exactly, do you want us to do about that?

I still stand by my comment that the discussion about high school cheer was not a tangent since it related directly to your article.

i think we officially need to see someones sneak speek to a routine, a new uniform, new music or something.. because all this waiting around for the season to start is causing a ruckus... clearly.. just read this thread!

I will never understand why people care so much if others consider what we do a sport....

I have a bunch of friends who don't consider it a sport. I question it myself. As long as they don't doubt the athletic ability, then I don't really care.

yes I do. That was only one point. I'm not going point for point with you on this. I was just stating a concern.

and I'm pretty sure that even if it became an official sport that those who bash it will still bash it and those that appreciate for what it is will also continue to do so.

I thought it was already a sport?
