All-Star Maryland Marlins Merging With Maryland Twisters

Just wanted to stop in and say that the Marlins/Twister merge is going well... My daughters team gained a few kids from the merge and they have practiced this week as if they have all known one another since the the season started in June... I am really excited to see what these teams will bring to the floor....

I wonder what team Kelly is on. Prays F5. Isnt her mom on here!

if we're talking about the same person.. She's on reign.

Kelly is on Reign, she's been on Twisters since the beginning of the season.

Thanks cheeeeer93 and cheer97 I didnt know she left TSU before the merge.

I'm here! They are correct, she's on Reign and totally loves it! What a great group of kids on the team. We've only been with MD Twisters for a couple of months but its been an awesome two months! I can't wait to see what this season brings....
I'm also glad to see some familiar faces in the gym from Marlins! I really missed some of you guys . Here's to hoping you enjoy it as much as we do! Cheers!

hum....I am confused. One gym owner shut her gym down and another gym owner opens her gym to the athletes and people are concerned with a team staying together. That doesn't sound very athletic to me...more like something from Dance Moms. I would assume that in this very talented and competitive market each athlete will be evaluated and placed where their skills are applicable...

Almost all of our girls were placed on the same level teams as we were on at Marlins. It has gone almost a little too smooth. I have prepared my cp for the very likely possiblity that people will be shifted around to make the teams the best they can be. There is another round of evaluations coming in the next few weeks. And then there is always the mid season shift that Twisters normally does. Some of us are happy with the transition to Twisters others have decided that Twisters is too big and or not the right fit. I would say 60% are staying.

If Terri did, it was a joke. People have already confirmed the name is staying Maryland Twisters.

I hope the other 40% just switched gyms. Its a shame to see kids dropping the sport they love just because of a merge.
