Any all-star cheerleaders in SF who commute to gyms out of the city? I'm looking to meet some people with similar interests in the area and get an idea of some competitive international coed teams that aren't more than a 2 hour(ish) commute.

I've looked into CheerSF and keeping an eye out for their tryouts but I'd still like to get my fix of competing. Where do you guys go from the SF area?

I'm not in the SF area but I have family near there and went to visit them last week. Nor Cal Elite San Jose is an hour or so away. I'm not sure what teams they have this year (they only have their 11-12 teams posted) but I'm sure if you contact them they'd be willing to help! Site: Nor Cal Elite All-Stars

Cheergyms.com has an IOC6 team out of Concord (in the East Bay). According to my friend on the team, they're trying to get a bid to worlds this year. I was on Cheergyms last year and I highly recommend it. Great coaches and a wonderful experience.
Premier has had an all-male 6 team in the past. Idk if they have it this year but they're less than an hour from the city and they're super fun to watch.
If you're looking for 5 rather than 6, the first two teams that come to mind for me are Fame Athletics and Riptide. I don't think Fame has gone to worlds in the past but they're a pretty good team out of San Jose. Riptide just went to worlds for the first time this last year and they're all the way out in Salinas so it would be about a two hour drive.
There are more teams within driving distance from SF but these are just off the top of my head. Good luck :)

I agree with Audrey, you should for sure check out Cheergyms.com International Coed 6, its a true level 6 in the sense that they pretty much fill the team with kids in college, I have never seen a 14 year old flyer on that team, they seem to have a good team bond as well. I would also check out Riptide, they have great stunting but the drive is further. Nor Cal has put an International Team on the floor for many years, yet it never seems to be the focus of the program, in the past I have had people tell me that they get things kinda last on the list, which is sad cause I love NorCal. Also , I am not sure if Power is doing an ICO5 or 6 this year, they are a great program and a two hour drive. Goodluck!

Isn't level 6 age 17+ anyway? I'd hope they don't have any 14 year olds because that would be illegal...

Thanks! Just sent an email to Power to see about their Open programs.

norCal Elite still can't compete at worlds, but they have a great program. Cheer Odyssey has a great I5 with a lot of potential. Cheergyms.com level 6 would also too.
What do you mean they Can't compete at worlds? PM me please.

did i miss something? i assumed he means they still cant hang lol
Oh I took it the other way, like they are not allowed to compete...not sure at all, but you used to be on Nor Cal, if you find out, clear it up for us please :)

If you're open to driving to the Sacramento area, assuming you are based on your interest in POWER, there's also Folsom Cheer Elite. They have an open 5 (or 6, I forget), though I'm not sure if they actually do any big competitions. If you want to be a serious competitive team I think your best bet would be POWER or NorCal Elite (though apparently something is going on with them reading above?? Idk?)
Cheer SF is pretty cool though. They go to UCA Collegiate Camp at UCSB (I'll see them there later this week! :D) and they're really nice! However, as you know, they do not compete. They're recreational and focus a lot on fundraising and performing at various community events in SF. I suppose it's better than nothing.

Ooh, and I just remembered California All Stars has a Livermore location which isn't too far from SF. However I have no idea what sort of teams they have and I couldn't find any info online. You may want to shoot them an email though. Best of luck!
