Yeahhh, posting about how much you dislike gay marriage on a cheerleading forum is a bad idea. Good luck here.

Hey, I didn't start the thread. I'm just adding to it. I have the right to my own values and opinions just as much as anyone else.

I've eaten at Chick-Fil-A before during out-of-state trips, but we don't have one here in Michigan. I like it even more now because of their views, which I totally agree with. At least someone is standing up for good moral values in this country.
I understand that you have the right to your own opinion. It's great that we can all share our opinions here. I am Christian, I live in the USA, and I consider myself to be someone with fairly good moral values. However, in modern culture, I believe that love conquers the barriers of traditional morals. I don't mean to start an entire debate. I actually probably won't check fierceboard again for a couple weeks. I just want to make sure you understand that we aren't all crazy people who threw our morals out the window to love the people in our lives who don't love in a traditional manner. Many people have adjusted their old values or beliefs because they find that any relationship based on love and respect deserves acceptance.

You sure do. Have fun with them!
But seriously, you're a cheerleader. Haven't you ever cheered on a team with someone who's gay?

No, all the cheerleaders on my squad are straight girls. I'm not on an all-star squad; just sideline cheer at school for football and basketball.

I have found some silver lining to the whole Chic fil a, since they are all individually owned, some chic fil a's have actually given money to LGBT charity's and such. We must remember that, its the President/CEO's opinions that are being published not the actual stores...I know that it still does suck that people are apparently so "morally sound" that they don't believe that others should have the same rights as them but what are you gonna do. I however am a Catholic, who believes in accepting everyone for their similarities and differences with an open heart. And evan the ones with less than amazing "morals and beliefs" I try to step away from what they believe religiously, and politically and see past that. It makes life easier to take..oh and I think the gays should be able to get married. just incase you were wondering ; )
