So Im spending around 5 weeks in Australia over christmas and new year and should really consider going to some open gym sessions while I'm there. A 5 week break from cheer is huge for me as I train 4 times a week so would like to do a few sessions while I'm away just to keep active.

I'll be starting my trip in Hatton Vale about 40 minutes outside of the Brisbane City and then we will be driving through Brisbane, down the east coast to Sydney and then back up.

If anyone knows any gymnastics centres or cheer gyms along the way please let me know :)

Hmm, that's our off season, so not sure how many gyms will be open. Definitely contact ECA in Newcastle, north of Sydney. Derrick is former Louisville and his gym is super pretty. Brisbane Allstars in Brisbane (duh) are lovely and always welcome visitors into their gym.

Unfortunately you will find a lot of cheer gym closed down as that is the beginning / end of seasons for us... A lot of gymnastics gyms will be open though...

but you may find the odd open gym,

QLD area = Brisbane All stars, Zoo Athletics
Sydney (north) = ECA
Sydney (metro) = Starlets, Gymstars, Sydney Alititude

my money would be on the gymnastic facilities which there are plenty of, and most offer adult gym or open gym.

If you go through the Gold Coast, definitely get in contact with Zoo Athletics. I'm from NZ and went to a competition in Queensland in June. They let us train for a day at their gym - it's an amazing facility and the people there are lovely. The coaches are awesome and I'm sure they'd be very accommodating!

 I'm so confused...
Edie Burgess owns ADU travel and helps run DUSC, Sharon Winters is the daughter of Edie and she owns Zoo Athletics and also helps with DUSC. Jane Lawrie (not mentioned on the clip) was the manager for the trip. the "Con" was that their (ADU) accounts in the US had be hacked three days prior to leaving, which is why everyone didn't believe because everything should have been paid for way before then in order for us to travel...

Ahh thank you...
What a shame though :(

Mmmm zoo might be gym to avoid in the near future... in recent light
ZSA are fine, thats where most of the athletes from ZA have gone to, or ZACS (Zoo Athletics Coast Studios). From what I know both the franchises are now working to separate from ZA...
