Please explain to me what child is going to want a belt buckle? Because I don't know any...
Honestly if I was a gym owner(just my opinion) I would pull my gym from this competition seeing they get belt buckles. Whats the point in going to a competition and paying money for something you're going to throw away?
I personally would prefer T-shirts, as much as I hate them Atleast I could use them!
 
When I read this I was under the impression that it is one Giant Belt with Buckle awarded to the Grand Champion per level. So it's taking the place of a plaque or trophy. So only 5 of these would be awarded per event. I didn't read it as if it replaced what the National Champion Athletes would win. Am I correct in how I'm reading this?

You're joking right? You would pull your kids because the award is a buckle? The only reason you go to competitions is because of the prizes?

Seriously, where is this attitude coming from that you have to get a prize if you win? What's wrong with at trophy? I have a pile of useless crap that I've gotten from winning competitions and it really doesn't matter. I don't even need another sweatshirt.
 
If you win one you could run a ribbon through the back of it and tie it around your neck. Then you have a medal. Voila!!:D

Is it like one of the big boxing belt buckle things that the heavyweight champ of the world gets or are we talking actual belt buckle size? If its one if those gigantic things the gym could stick on a wall next to all the plaques other competitions give out, then I think it's kindof unique over a second look alike trophy. If its actually kids getting little belt buckle size belt buckles....then it's a flop.
 
i mean its better then getting a patch or a crappy backpack that brakes when you put one show in it. its a very different idea, idk if i would use it but i guess its kinda cool since some teams are traveling very far esp the teams from the northeast.

It's unique and really cool and special, in my opinion. You can't get a belt buckle like that anywhere else. Plus, you will be getting hoodies and all the other stuff like previously stated.

I think it is no different then when GSSA gave away surf boards, I think its totally cute and I would love to hang it in the gym, its different , I like it.

With all due respect I feel like some people act very entitled sometimes, yes its nice to get a cool gift at a competition but to say you would leave or remove your registration is very pretentious and teaches kids the wrong message about what this sport is supposed to be about.
 
I'd be really cute if someone made a bow that looks like leather and use a small version of the buckle as the center....That'd be a cool prize to get!
