theyre super hard and don't look good when theyre not done right

They are old school, I rocked them in HS circa '93

We've always done double nines just because our coaches for some reason don't like pikes. Easier for the jumps to look higher maybe? Our jump combo this year is left front, toe, right front, double nine, back tuck and I find it so much harder to tuck out of a double nine than a toe touch...even a double bhs out of it is rough...

Oh wow, I thought those were retired like myself! Seriously, I wasn't even aware anyone did them anymore. For some reason I find them incredibly easy

My thoughts exactly.

I <3 double nines. Bad motion picture though but double nines are considered a more advance jump

Does anyone else find it weird that that guy is using poms...?

I dont see what the big fuss is about. Double 9's have never been hard for me and I am slightly more comfortable tumbling out of those than pikes.
