I have several friends who eat paleo/primal or just avoid grains. One of them just reached the 100lb weight loss mark. Another one claims that she eats 3000-4000 calories a day. She's not stick thin, but she's not overweight at all. I'm allergic to dairy and eggs. Than doesn't leave me with a lot of breakfast ideas when you take out the grains too. I'm gonna check out the banana bread recipe

That sounds yummy! Care to share?
Absolutely!!

3 very ripe bananas (about 1 ½ cups) mashed
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp almond extract
1 tablespoon honey/agave nectar
¼ cup coconut oil, melted
2 cups almond meal (I get mine at Trader Joe’s if you're having difficulty locating)
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda

Preheat oven to 350. grease the loaf pan (I used 4x8 - may need more/less cook time for different sized pans)

Put all liquid ingredients into food processor and blend, then stir all dry ingredients into batter (flour, salt, baking soda).

Bake for 55-65 minutes.

Pre-warning - It will deflate while cooling, so no, you didn't mess up :p my mom preferred more agave but i liked the less sweet version, so she drizzled a little agave on top of her slices. you could easily add more into the recipe if you also prefer it sweeter. I also spread some almond butter on a few slices for extra protein for breakfast. yum! hope you enjoy!:D

I love the concept of paleo eating and have been trying to adapt it recently, although still struggling to give up some things like pasta!
My friend switched to paleo about 6 months ago and the changes in him are so dramatic! Far more energy, gets sick less often, lost a ton of weight and his skin glows more than a pregnant woman :p

Lol wut...I would not recommend eating 3000-4000 calories a day to anyone trying to lose weight unless they were running daily double marathons
