Just wanted to see who all is going to The Majors this year.
so far the list consists of:

Panthers
Cheetahs
Rockstar Beatles
Sr Elite
Coed Elite
Twist & Shout Obsession
ACE

Not Going:
Twisters/Marlins
Topgun
Fame

Im not sure who else is going. I heard Clai was supposed to go. Yes, No, Maybe So?

World Cup or Gym Tyme?
Not sure if it means anything but the website has Ten empty banners, could be that ten companies are going... you've covered 5

I believe Scott from Rockstar tweeted that they will NOT be attending due to some kind of conflict.

Obsession is not a definite. I believe Orson is still considering it but has not made a decision one way or another.

The Majors is a joke.. It's merely Jamestown trying to break away from USASF.., that's y their scoring is the exact opposite of varsity and USASF

how did this experiment turn out last year? i don't remember seeing much unless I just missed it.
We were all about it on the board. I think it depends on what team you follow- a number of gyms weren't invited, or were and declined.

BEING REALISTIC- The original competition seemed awesome. It was completely sold out (twice, actually I think), athletes have mentioned they felt like rockstars, and it came off as a cool concept. Those teams are among THE BEST in the nation, hands down. Yes, they missed a number of smaller teams, but they were going for large to start. WHERE THEY MESSED UP- they completely misrepresented what the prize was, and then butchered it even further once people realized they'd be 'forced' (I know CEA kids were happy to help, but it's a stupid condition) to run clinics at Jamfest Europe for stunting. The paid bid barely covered the cost of ANYTHING, not even sure a flight (since they were traveling IN JUNE- flights to Europe in the summer ain't cheap) was covered with the 'paid trip to Europe'.

It probably would have sucked if you were a team who had a troublesome season and ran the risk of not getting a bid if you competed there (seeing as you couldn't compete both Majors and Indy). But I feel like the teams they had perform aren't that type for the most part, so whatever. Plus, it's a way to bring back Worlds to where it was- THE BEST OF THE BEST. And let's face it, the way worlds went this year was hardly shocking (in terms of how teams were cut).

I am confused a little on Panthers and Cheetahs return to The Majors. I thought they were very disappointed in the whole process...So if they are in fact returning, I would assume maybe there have been some guarantees that this year will be better? Otherwise, why else would they even waste their time and money to return? BlueCat??

Just my opinion but there's already a competition that hosts the "Best of the Best" its called NCA All Star Nationals in Dallas, TX. I think that's why you see so many programs decline the invitation to go (ex. World Cup). They may not always win but specifically in the Large Senior division I have a hard time saying any competition is the "best of the best" if it doesn't include WC, CEA and F5.

I'm not trying to imply those are the only 3 teams in that division that are good enough to win but they're clearly at the top of the ladder. And there's a reason all 3 attend NCA every year without having to be invited.

I am curious as to BluCat's response as well, but I know the athletes at CA took a team vote to decide... so if the kids wanted to go back they'd go? I would think coaches have the final say, though, so not sure.

I am also curious BlueCat RockstarCheer blunchin (or anyone else contacted by JamFest) what prize are they offering this year? is it the same?

not entirely sure. our main reason for not returning basically boiled down to cost.
