Hi, I am looking for a gym located in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area and possibly the Houston area. It looks like my huband will be relocated to one of these areas. I am looking for a gym that has a strong tumbling program (good instructers) and one that has level 5 teams that usually go to Worlds.

My daughter will be 14 and has been on a Sr.level 4 team for the past few years. She will be a freshman next year. I would love to be able to give her the opportunity to live close to a gym that could make her Worlds dream come true.

I would really love to talk to cheer moms in these areas because we are looking first for cheer gyms and then I need to look for a good school district for high school. We will be looking for homes based on these 2 criteria. We have this opportunity so we are going to make the best of it!

Also I have heard that in the south, the girls can do both Allstar cheer and High School cheer. Does anyone know if this is true?

Please respond if you are in these areas or if you have good information. Thanks

I know Cheer Athletics is near Dallas, it's in Plano. Other fantastic programs in Texas are Spirit of Texas and Woodlands Elite, not sure how far they are from you though

Near Houston you have the following gyms with worlds teams and great coaches
Prodigy Allstars - northwest Houston area - Cypress and Katy suburbs
Woodlands Elite - north Houston area - The Woodlands and Spring suburbs
Texas Lonestar - north Houston area - Champions and Spring suburbs
All Star Revolution - South Houston area - towards Galveston

All of these are large gyms. Good luck with your move!

I work at All-star Revolution, we are located on the southeast side of Houston and theres a Mulitple school districts to choose from with High Ratings, Check them out, Clear Creek Independent school district, Friendswood, and Pearland. Good luck on your new Journey hope you find the right fit for you and your family :)

If you are living anywhere near or in DFW, Cheer Athletics is the best but I am bias..lol!! Spirit of Texas is also an excellent program! :)
Houston- PRodigy all-stars, Texas Cheer & Woodlands Elite are north... All-Star Revolution is south!
If you need any info about CA, don't hesitate to ask. I will tell you though that most of our teams are full but you can email Jody Melton and he will be happy to help! Good luck!!

Welcome to the New CA generation~ Claws Out Ya'll!

Thank you mecheer mom...I had no idea where to start in Houston. Thank you to foxy too....I looked up those teams and realized we know CA (just didn't know it was based in Dallas).

For those cheer moms (or dads) that have CP's cheering at any of the above gyms...feel free to chime in!

I knew I could count on the fierce boards to help me out! Thanks!

Thanks for the school information....maybe you can tell me. Can you cheer for both AllStar and HS in the same year? Up north the kids have to choose between one or the other. Again thanks for your response!

Thanks CAmamakat....I may contact you by message if you don't mind! We wouldn't be there until next summer...My son is a Sr. this year and my daughter is in 8th grade so if we do the move it will be in the spring. Do you know if the kids can do both Allstar and HS? If not...she will do Allstar and that is why it is important to find a gym first...lol Thanks for the info!

Depending on where you are in the DFW area, you literally could throw a rock and hit three gyms! The best advice would be to visit some gyms after you find out where you will be relocating to because every gym has a different coaching style.
