Has anyone heard of this? I think it is Varsity trying to create their own "US Finals" or "All-Levels" It is the weekend before Worlds... Who is going to travel to Disney back to back weekends (if they have teams competing at worlds). And there is only certain divisions they are offering there. I love Us Finals & All-Levels, but why does Varsity have to top it off and put their "The Summit" at Disney World, like allstar cheerleading is expensive enough! I think Varsity is over-saturating the industry! What do you guys think?

All-Levels already was Varsity. They're replacing it with the Summit. There's a lot of discussion about it in this thread:

I think it will be a great event for all non-worlds teams.
I personally think its too much to ask people to go back to back. Its a ton of money for people to spend. I know some bids are paid but there are still flights involved and parents that will have to go etc. Unless of corse you live within driving distance which many do not. Also in my opinion it takes the prestige out of worlds. Just my thoughts.. I will be interested to see if it actually goes as planned.
Have a great day everyone..

For gyms that do not have Worlds teams and want an end of the season comp at Disney, more power to them. If our gym decided to do this, I would not be very happy.

I am very excited for this since my daughter is not a level 5 athlete. I think this is great for non-world's teams to have a "worlds" like competition. As long as the gyms owners are letting parents know at the beginning of the season that they are expected to go I don't see what the issue is. I look forward to the travel. I do, however, wish it was somewhere other than Disney. I'm a little over disney right now from so many years at UCA

I think it will be interesting to see how this goes - that said our team is going to other comps that require more travel with our non Senior level 5 teams. For me and where my girls are in their skills while this would be cool would it take the shine off looking forward to being on our gyms "world" team someday. Well maybe... at the same time does an elite level Junior or Youth team work just as hard and deserve a comp on the same level as Worlds - maybe and personally I would rather have my kids on a team with other kids their age if the gym has kids at that skill level like a Youth or Junior level 5 rather than have them with kids who are just dealing with different things. We will be going to at least one bid event not sure if I want my kids team to win one or not and not sure if our gym would even take us if we got one. Think I would prefer not to be a Disney but cost wise it would be cheaper in many ways than other comps for me just looking at flights alone

UCA has made me hate Disney..

I'm not a worlds level athlete, nor does my gym have a worlds level team, so we are all super excited for this event. We slowly saw all levels disintegrating, and nearly had a clean sweep our last year going, and just didn't find it to be too competitive anymore. This is going to be a great experience for us!
