Kids At School Saying Cheer Isn't A Sport.

So many kids at my school do this! and I usually don't say anything because it's pointess, they'll never understand until they're a cheerleader.

It use to happen to my CP - at lunch she challenged some of the football players to do exactly what she did - threw a round off, double BHS - they said they couldn't do it - well until you can don't tell me it's not a sport - they haven't said anything since

Granted she's 9 so a but easier for her but....

I cheer for my school. But I will be completely honest with you. I am willing to do anything I could to cheer at an allstars gym. & my parents know that & they know I have the ability to. It's just that we can't afford it</3

Honestly, I was one of these jerk football players in high school and all the time I played in football in college. However, I started cheering 3 weeks ago and have to say that I honestly love it and do believe that cheerleading is a sport. I have gotten way stronger since becoming a cheerleader. Its alot harder then what it seemed like in high school. So tell those football players that most male cheerleaders in college that do partner stunting are ex college football players.

do a standing full onto their face. BOOM. problem solved.

people do that all the time at my school! so whenever people say stuff like that to me i just say, go pull a standing full and good luck with that!:cheering:

Argue with them on why cheer is a sport. Throw some tumbling.

To Football players we will say: we lift people and throw them in the air and catch them. All you do is catch balls and hit people with pads on.

*cheer stopped being a sport it is only aclub now but bowling is a sport :l

In 8th grade on the way home from a class field trip, the PE teacher had CP arm wrestle a couple of the most outspoken "cheer isn't a sport" guys.... The results quieted them down very fast

I just smile and say, "Well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion." and if they really annoy me I'll add "No matter how uninformed it may be."

so many people do this!!! they will be like "i dont like cheerleading its not even a sport." ill say i dont like whatever sport they play like "well i dont like vollyball all you do is throw a ball. cheerleading you throw people. thank you very much." then they will usually just leave me alone about it hahaaha hope this helped
