That's legal and creative. If you already have a cradle from an extended stunt and your team looks better doing this than a cradle for one leg, then do this. ASCheerMan will always tell you you will score best doing what looks best or something to that effect.
Yes, what I always say is when choosing what to include and what to leave out of your routine, go with what looks best. We get to a point (when discussing 'which skill would score higher') that we start splitting individual hairs and miss the REAL opportunity to earn points - by being perfect.

I can about promise you, especially in the months of October and November, that a perfect routine is going to be far and few between. Judges are going to really appreciate non-train wrecks this early in the season. LOL Strive for non-train wreck status :)

Scoring Interpretation Update:
In an effort to lessen the stress and demands on athletes, judges will be counting skills within the running tumbling pass--instead of just the entire pass--when assessing your Difficulty subrange in L1-L4 (i.e. a whip through to layout now counts as 2 skills instead of 1).

I love this. I love it a lot. Just to clarify, though, on the facebook page it says just Levels 4 and 5. Correct?

LOL You are FAST, Steven. I posted that for about 10 seconds and ripped it down to fix it. It's L1 - L4. I'm impressed.

I got a message from NEcheer. She wins. We were about to add another squad tumbling section to our Sr 4, so this just saved our lives, because everyone in our running tumbling section is throwing something that would count as at least 2 skills. So I thank you greatly!!

Duely noted, but you are the one who wrote me. We can call it a tie and both of you will share the title.

So if I'm reading this right-
In level 1 a fwo cartwheel bwo step out fwo fwd roll cartwheel bwo counts for 7
Does each back handspring in level 2 count?
Do Only tucks count in 3? So there is no legal pass with more than 1 skill?

Am I wrong to assume that it meant level appropriate skills within a pass?

That is correct. The end result is going to be that most teams will score in the high in running tumbling (for L1 at least). But the difference between 3.7 and the 4.0 will still be about who has the best running tumbling section.

"you better watch out this year......cuz there will be.....no.....ties!!"

Can anyone name that team?
Is that Tribe Senior Level 1 from 2008 that ended up tieing Spirit Celebration the year before. I do cardio to that music everyday. LOL

In L4, if you have a kid that is doing a whip-whip-layout then that's 3 skills. What about a whip-whip-tuck? Technically, the tuck is a level 3 skill, but you can't do a tuck out anything but a RO or RO-BHS in L3. So would a whip-whip-tuck be 2 skills or 3?

For L2 -- I need clarification in reading the grid. Do barrel rolls count as tosses -- as to the full team plus three rule?
So would full team tosses plus full team Barrel rolls max in the toss area?

It would be 2. Whip is a Level 4 skill, but a tuck is a level 3 skill. (I get your reasoning, but that isn't the way we are interpreting it this season).
