Why were there 37 girls out there for senior elite?

Because there are 37 girls on the team. And it's our own event so we weren't under any number restrictions. LOL She's not an alternate....all of these girls have been on the team since tryouts. At one time the team had 42 and it has dwindled to 37.

What amazes me is that this is just showcase, just first run of the routine on stage... that means its gunna get better, I am literally too excited for words! these girls are amazing :cheering: and watching holden during there performance gives me life, i swear that boy is everything!!!!!!

How does this work come competition time? Do they take turns not competing? Is the extra girl on another team? I'm just curious to see how CEA works that out.

None of the above. Injuries always happen during the year and extras who have competed and practiced instead of being pulled off another team for an hour in warm up are invaluable and necessary. Really need 38 to cover the 1-2 injuries, the short term ankle or knee sprain, that seem to occur around every competition. There always needs to be an extra flyer also, but they are embedded in the team.

But how does that work come competition time? Is there one girl that is aware that she may not compete? Does it change every comp? I understand having alternates...but you are saying they are ON the team...that can't be once the season starts. Just wondering, not being argumentative!

The kids know who is 37 and 38 if everyone is healthy. In 10 years I have never seen a number 37 or 38 kid at this time of year not compete at multiple competitions including Worlds. It is almost a given.

This is the link to Charlotte Medium Coed's routine for anyone whose computer was freezing! (Which, from the looks of this thread was a lot of people)

I think it's a smart idea, you never know what can happen in the warm up room, or even walking to the on-deck area!

I'm just trying to figure out how all those youtubers are going to make a video of them doing Senior elite's Stunt sequence....

I stunt it on the floor. I do the opposite heel stretch, full around, scale then the lib, then the full around tic tock. It's what Molly and another girl does

Please don't take this the wrong way but..... i feel like a lot of these teams are no where near ready to do their routines full out. I'm sure that will change once we see their level 5's.
With that being said, i give them credit for getting out there this early.
When is their first competition?

Mini elite competes Nov 17th
