Okay so I'm venting and its long-sorry in advance.
Last night we went to the playoff game to cheer. Our dance team has started dancing at away games (for reasons unknown...) And the field we were playing is relitively small and has a spot on their turf field that has a spot boxed off and there's a sign in front that says "away team cheerleaders" so obviously we are supposed to stand there... Right? ... Not according to our dance team. We didn't have anywhere to stand and ended up cheering in the small space infront of the students section on the concrete and we couldn't even do the fight song because we didn't have enough room. It was AWFUL.
That does sound awful and very unfair.

Dance and kick line at cp's HS also rule the world. I would put the blame on both coaches - the cheer coach for not speaking up and the dance team's coach for not being able to read.

Our fill in coach was crying last night because of it. My actual coach just had a baby so she can't go to our games. To be honest neither coaches really do anything... Ever. My coach that just had a baby is best friends with the dance coach, which is why they are allowed to go to the away games. My coach I had last year and my freshman year would have never allowed this to happen... Ever

Last night was our district game/senior night and I think this is the cutest picture taken of the night :cloud9:

I have a few things I want to say!!!

First off, thanks to every single person on here who has commented or messaged me with ideals and words of encouragement! I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart!! :)

But I decided to see the good in the situation.

My cp had her normal tumbling class today.
They still put her in the advanced group which I think sort of let's her know they still expect the same thing from her.

She will throw her standing tumbling including standing tuck. She will do all level 2 tumbling. She only blocks on her layout, tuck, full. She doesn't have a full anyways but it does freak her out. Anyways she will throw all 3 of those with a spot. They physically have to spot her on the full, but the layout and tuck they just have to move with her. They don't actually have to touch her. She was in an extremely good mood today and even though she wouldn't throw them without someone standing there she did not cry and smiled the whole time.

Here is the best part and what helps me be ok with this-
Her running tucks have been really great for quite a while. She has a layout but I always thought it was kind of ugly. It was good and it was a layout just not amazing. Anyways her tumbling although the coach is standing there is so perfect. I feel with all my heart she is just going to come back stronger and better and her fixing this tumbling will make it easier for all future skills. I truly am proud of her and seeing her keep trying!! Also her other coach is working Arabians and punch fronts with her to kind of change it up so she is on a completely different level and not strictly focused on her tucks, layouts, and Fulls!

As much sadness and frustration comes from this I feel it will only make her better! I don't doubt her one bit and I know she can get through this!!!:)

Thanks again to everyone! Y'all have made this so much easier on me and so glad we are not alone! I love the fierceboard!:)

Freaking AMAZING competition! We went only for comments but if we had gotten a grade we would've gotten and excellent (it goes bad, poor, good, excellent, superior)!!!!!!!! I nearly cried as I am a senior this year

So, our football team won today in overtime, Yay! We've been okay this year (5-3) and everyone was really excited to get the win. But this means we'll probably have a game on December 1st. My birthday in November 30. I live in the dorms at my school, like three hours away from home and now I won't be able to go home to celebrate my birthday. I'm really bummed out. I don't have a lot of friends here and was so excited that my birthday was on a Friday so I could go home. It's still up in the air on whether the game will happen or not, but it seems pretty likely. So bummed. :(
Also, we got a new athletic director this year and she's nice and supports us but is asking wayyyy too much of us wayyyy too late. For example, there was an event at the school this evening (starting at 6pm) that none of us (coach included) new about. The athletic director contacted our coach at the before our football game today (roughly around noon) and wanted to know if we could be there. Like, are you kidding? She keeps contacting us the day of/day before events to see if we can be there. Like hello! We're college students. We all have jobs and classes we schedule all around cheerleading. We get monthly schedules like 4 weeks in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements to be at practice/games/events/whatever. It's ridiculous.

Ugh. Rant over. Sorry about the longness, but I feel better.
