All-Star Ca Wildcats Stunt...hmmmmm

Not that it is particularly important, but both of those stunts had been done long before the videos you showed. I know that Cheer Athletics Cheetahs did the straddle/dive over in their pyramid around 1997. I'm sure there were people that had used it even earlier than that.

There are simply a limited number of body positions you can legally use and a limited number of transitional elements that are within the current rules. For that matter, most of the "completely original" stunts that get credited to a gym had also done long ago in acro gymnastics.

How dare you answer logically.

That was a FIERCE little Jr Prep team and that stunt group was WAY Ahead of their time 5-6 years ago with all of those transitions. That heel stretch twist down thing at the end was sick!

people just have to hate.....

wildcats hands down does it amazing.
no skill no stunt no tumble pass no basket belongs to a gym.
who cares if something simliar has been done....

wildcats gets the job done and i cant wait to see them in person! FIERCE!

All I know is our J4 is doing 6 of those swing throughs and the second someone compares us to Cali Smoed or CA or whoever, imma run around the arena screaming OMG! And give back any award they might've won because the is no better compliment than THAT!

And if you can hit it...more power to you.

To add to this response, I'd also like to point out that the Cheer Athletics Wildcats competed a variation of the second half of the stunt (the drop to the straddle, full around) during the 2003-2004 season.

I don't know that it was the first time that it was ever done (it probably wasn't), but as has been previously stated, it was done long before the videos posted at the beginning of this thread.

I gotta give it to Wildcats....sure they're doing something that Smoed and Top Gun have done before, but to be able to do that spin stunt with only two men and a fully grown girl is pretty impressive and they made it look easy too.

who hasn't been inspired by someone elses work and incorporated... Hello kick double baskets? Hello collegiate rewinds stunts? And tick tocks... Really? why is this thread up.

Wildcats... SICK routine
