Panthers have the difficulty where they need to. Their stunts and routine is just as creative as senior elite, just in a different way.

Senior elite also does way too much. Just because you do more, doesn't mean it is more difficult, and that will definitely come across this year.

When I said this I was practically stoned, glad to see I wasnt the only one who noticed that.

This division more than any other one is an example of: ANYTHING can happen. Stars in 2008, SE in 2012.

True that. One thing I love about this division is that every team is soooo different. Their style of music and choreography, their philosophies, their strengths and weaknesses. Yet they are all stacked with out of this world talent and amazing routines. I am so excited to watch the progression of all Large Senior teams this season and I expect worlds to be a toss up more so than ever before. It's going to be all about who hits.

The year Warriors won worlds.... I don't think in November anyone on this forum would've predicted they'd win Cheersport or NCA, let alone our gyms first World title. Just something to keep in mind...

The year Obsession won worlds, people had us as #4, #5 and even lower in their "predictions". We had a terrible regular season that year...but at worlds we killed it!! :)

I don't agree with this statement. Usually in a cheering routine when you do more it is more difficult. SE has two sections of tic-tocs and full ups when they don't need two (correct me if I'm wrong) I think that would be so much more difficult to do. I think maybe you meant that because you have more, doesn't mean it's going to score higher meaning you've already maxed out and the routine has got more in it than needed. Idk if I'm making sense or not :p

As to Panthers, it was clearly watered down so it is hard to judge at this point in the season, but I did some scary doubles  People say that Senior Elite has weaker tumbling out of the large senior division, but to be honest I have never seen SE throw scary, under-rotated doubles and in the end it comes down to execution. Just look what happened at worlds 2012. jmo.

Although Panthers routine was completly watered down, you have to compare the two routines (especially this early in the season), as if they were going full out.

Obviously Courtney Pope is a genious and just watching the two routine its natural to assume that cheer Sr. Etlie completly out stunts panthers, you have to count numbers.
Cheer extreme does a total of 37 elite stunts in their routine, (I'm not counting the jump rope becuase it ends in a sponge), CEA becuase of the crazy amount of straight up stunts they go up throuhgout the crazy amount of tic tocks you get tricked into thinking there is way more. Aso, I'm counting the 3 tic toks that happened in the second sequence, and the 2 girls that do two into the paper dolls.

Now Panthers for example (this is assuming every stunt does what is choreographed has 9 stunts in one sectiong that each do 4 elements, there two immediate tic toks, the 1.5 up. and then either a full up stretch or a full around over stretch, which if you multiply 9x4 you will get 36.

So in a sense both teams are stunting way way way more then they need to, but cheer extremes one extra elite stunt does necessarily make them out stunt panthers. (again assuming panthers competes what is choreographed).

Would anyone like to count tumbling lol?

I definitely think this is all going to come to the choreography/creativity part of the score sheet. Panthers are maxing out their stunt without doing all of that extra stuff that SE does, and blows them away in tumbling/group tumbling. As far as who Id rather watch its definitely SE. Their routine is just everything.

Am I the only person who was really underwhelmed by Panthers' tumbling? Everyone's freaking out about how good it was, most of the 3 to doubles fulled, a couple did layouts, the group of doublers before that all doubled, but that's still less than 10 standing passes to double that I could see. Granted it's watered down, but if I was going by numbers from those 2 videos they're pretty equal in tumbling...

SE always looks better at their showcase than they do at their first comp..Idk what they look like without the extra people/spotters. I think SE is more entertaining in stunting and Panthers in tumbling. SE has a lot of stunting, but both teams hit the score sheet. Either way, the top 4 teams will all be amazing by worlds!

Well actually at last years at CEA's showcase they had a few falls, and their routine seemed way too difficult for them to hit. I think they actually performed better during the first few comps compared to their showcase

Sr. Elites performance this year at their show case was 100000x better than their previous showcases, if my memory serves me right.

I also think this is the best they've ever looked at their showcase. Of course after competing a few times, they are going to get better..I was only comparing the showcase to the first competition, which usually isn't the same. Last year it seemed like they kept changing the routine/stunts until things felt right, which is prob why everything wasn't always hitting.
