the journalist in me can't keep quiet. CBS is making me cringe the way they went about this.

Can't help but wonder if JP is their go to guy for all things cheer and ran with it because of that. I think I remember him on there for a cheer safety story in feb/march, something about concussions.

One last thought - if there was anything behind the story why haven't Fox, NBC and ABC done anything on it. When the Milton scandal broke I remember it being all over the place.

He was also interviewed in the WC Twinkles documentary.

The more pressing matter to me is the fact that All Star Cheerleading is a youth oriented sport with 80% of the industry being levels 1-4. And whilst we all point fingers, attack one another, and bicker... we forget that the very youth this sport is centered on are learning this behavior. If a gym owner takes reservation with the ethics of a competitor, lead by example. If a gym owner wants the talent of a competitor, know what your coaching and coach it well... develop the talent you have. All Star Cheerleading has become a toxic, bitter place for kids and young athletes to be... and paying so much reference to the questionable actions of those who let kids down because they want to win is also a failure. Long story short, if the leaders in this industry can't walk the road less traveled, and put good honest work into their business and craft... and simply sell out on values to win, subsequently we are selling out on building the character of the innocent youth and young adults. We are not just loosing kids to each others gyms... we are loosing them to other sports. Ipso facto, by the very nature of the behavior surrounding this issue, cheerleading is in disrepair, and if not fixed... All Star Cheerleading will have no clientele base thus leading to an industry wide implosion.
This is one of the best posts in this thread.
