All-Star How Come Girls Get Sports Bras?!

I think it should be a requirement that boys wear either a t-shirt or tank top to practice. I think it's tasteless to let boys run around shirtless in a gym. I think the gym should provide a practice wear to the boys. They are very much a part of the team and should be given the same consideration as the girls. I know from my cp's point of view, she doesn't want to be stunting with a shirtless sweaty boy.

I don't think my gym is tasteless but we wont enforce that anyone be fully clothed while intensely athletically training in an un-airconditioned facility. Practices often start in tank and shorts for everyone but most often end with the girls in sports bras and shorts and the boys just wearing shorts...I really do think you'd have to experience it before you pass judgement on it.

i hate cotton tshirts. i love nike pro shirts shorts compression shorts. everyone makes fun of me that i cut the sleeves off my shirt and wear it over my compression shirts. i hate sleeves its just annoying and after a while with sweat it stains and it shrinks and misforms. ive worn some of my compression shirts for 4 years now no problem, my shirts last me 6 months/ a year with them fitting right and comfortable.

I've seen both, gyms that allow boys to train w/no shirts and I've seen gyms that require clothing. Completely understandable that boys want to remove their shirts because its hot and girls have sports bras which brings me back to my original point. I thing gyms should provide appropriate practice wear for boys too. It's just my opinion.

Youre kidding right? Girls end up showing wayyy more skin than boys do if theyre shirtless. Sure we might be topless but we also arent wearing tiny little shorts... Most guys wear basketball shorts which are knee length. And im sure that girls can put up with us being sweaty... I mean we deal with their sweaty backs all the time...

The only way that guys can get the same for the lack of a better word "ventilation" , as girls do would be to be shirtless. But I guess we can all wear sports bras and nike pro short shorts too. Just dont complain when you see all of our parts through those shorts...

Im not attacking you, just showing you what an actual athlete who trains with the heater on thinks....

Gyms do give out appropriate practice wear for boys. I can't think of any program that does not. The original topic is about more "fashionable" practice clothing.. Boys in Bling tops and whatnot.

And to think I just use a seam ripper and actually detach the sleeves from the tee shirt for my son. No scissors involved.

Apparently, I'm not doing that correctly. This guy cracks me up and (behind him) apparently throws quite the lively party to the (hopefully) over 21 crowd.

Some gyms don't give out practice wear at all. I can tell you that I'm at a well known gym and no practice clothing was provided to the boys. They were told to wear tshirts and shorts.

I completely understand and trust me I'm not a big supporter of the sports bras and spankies. My cp doesn't like wearing a sports bra alone so she covers herself with a tshirt. Once again, I think gyms should provide practice wear for the boys...our gym doesn't and i know several gyms in our area who do not. The only tshirt that our boys received this season was from camp. My point is that yes boys should receive practice clothes and be included just like the girls.

well maybe for the bigger guys a skin tight shirt is not ideal...so for us bigger guys, Shorts all the way. and ones that are below the knee. NOT shorter from like the 80's

That's ghetto. I'm assuming the boys cheer for free then...

No, they don't cheer for free. They just don't pay for the practice wear portion of the tuition. As far as "ghetto" I can personally tell you that a couple of the gyms in my area are far from being ghetto. I just think their priorities are elsewhere and aren't putting much thought into the practice clothing for our male athletes which is unfortunate.
