I read thru this entire thread and feel the need to provide a little background information on Gianni DeNegri to help enlighten the cheer community.

Let me first say that I AM NOT SURPRISED AT ALL at this development. This is a very similar situation to what happened almost 10 years when he was asked to leave Cheer Athletics (under some rather unfortunate circumstances)

Does anyone remember Dynasty Cheer? They had a Small Coed (back when that meant 36 athletes with only 4 boys) that attended worlds around 2006/2007, I believe. That was the gym that Gianni founded after leaving Cheer Athletics. Like with Trinity, he recruited some very big name athletes (with the most "famous" being Tye Hill) to be on this team. I'm assuming that he made similar promises to these athletes as he has made to the Trinity athletes.
Move forward six months to competition season, and the Dynasty team has essentially dissolved with many of the best athletes leaving to Cheer Athletics or other local gyms (this was the first year that Tye was on Wildcats). Dynasty was fortunate enough to make it to worlds, but the majority of the promises that Gianni made never came true. It was especially sad for a group of athletes who traveled every weekend from San Antonio to be on the small coed team.

It seems like the cycle is repeating itself with the added variable that Gianni has secured the aid of a wealthy family/company who is willing to back him. I hope that these athletes see the writing on the wall (it seems like Gabi and others have) and really re-think their choices. Gianni is an amazing choreographer and coach (think of the "She Bangs" dance that Superkatz/Panthers did back in the day). However, he sometimes has problems with the follow thru.

If anyone would like to know how I know this, I used to be on that Dynasty small coed team. I haven't thought of Gianni is so very long until this ATL situation. I sincerely hope none of the athletes are hurt by this situation the way that some of the Dynasty athletes were.

I think that the hash tag trinity labels thing is like them trying to make fetch happen.

Their team names are all designer names, so when they say trinity labels, maybe they are making a play on their team names?

I think I've heard those designer names as teams before, hmm.

I guess Trinity needs to change that video on their website introducing the team members cuz I know of atleast 3 of those people that aren't there anymore.

They made need to change it on a weekly basis because it sounds like there is going to be a slow but mass exodus....

Gianni has done some amazing choreography. However, the "She Bangs" dance was definitely choreographed by Eric Little.

So, Is Gianni still going to try and sue CheerUpdates or did he just bring that up once not again?

On another note... this is all quite ridiculous, just makes me think

I know, right? I got to enjoy my Thanksgiving and it was cheer-drama free! I just played Wii U and watched football..

I think BUTBT is on Trinity's schedule.. even sooner than American Grand! And I believe that will be a head to head battle with GA Med. Coed as well
