Does anyone know how the Summit bids are going to be awarded? Will it be similar to Worlds bids? Highest scoring eligible teams in the competition?

Every company is awarding them differently. Varsity didn't mandate it.

Im assuming, and I could be incredibly wrong, but maybe it'll be high points? Like for instance, this weekend there's one Paid Bid at UCA N'tnals and it would make no sense for it to not go to the highest score. I'm not sure how it'll go though when there's multiple paid ones.

But will it be highest score, or who the EP thinks has the best chance to win the Summit? I mean there's a UCA event this weekend that is offering 1 paid and 5 at-large, so should the paid go to the overall highest score? But if it is a youth team, do you really think they would get it over a senior team who was close in scores? I feel like they will be just like words bids and whoever will "represent the EP the best" (aka who they think has the best chance to win) will get the bids. IMO.

I find it unfortunate that after all the years of drama with World's Bids that Varsity wouldn't step up and make awarding bids consistent. I feel a whole different world of drama. Sad, bc this could be a really good thing for multiple levels.
I really do not understand how parameters have not been set for this very reason.

Especially when it is so easy to do. Highest score wins the bid, I guess they are scared their judges won't be consistent, I guess that means I'm not the only one. EP's showing their hands lol!

Unless a mini level 2 gets the high score (which I have seen happen). No Mini Level 2s will be at this first year of Summit per the one thread where I asked about it to the person who works for the Summit.

I wanna know about the how 4.2 teams are going to get bids! My 4.2 team will be going against regular level 4 teams, which isnt really fair. We will be competing for bids at Athletic Championship and American Cheer Power. Not sure how they handle 4.2 teams, but there will be not a lot of 4.2 teams attending the Summit if we have to go agaisnt regular level 4!

I don't believe highest score should always be the determination. It should be judges choice. Just my opinion

I agree! It should be judges choice. Lets say that the whole Level 2 divisions are amazing and has high scores but the Level 3 divisions are awful. (Just an example) But, they have they have to give bids to level 3 teams when other teams in level 2 or another level deserve it! Then highest score would be kinda of hard too, because in each level you have a max of scoring differntly. Plus as i said earlier about the 4.2 teams, if a 4.2 team was really impressive then, they can have a better chance for it!

You can have scores on a "scale" making teams that score the highest be equal per division. Judges choice is too much wiggle room for "favoritism" or perceived wrongdoing.

If scores are on a scale, meaning each score is able to be compared fairly level to level, would that help? If not, why do you feel it should be judges choice?
