I'm sure they're ALL watered down..it's barely 3 days into December. The first major national is within the next 2 weeks (don't know when Battle is), the rest are in..what, late Jan early Feb? Why kill yourself now?

Although if this isn't 'killing' it for SE in stunting (for just visual options/difficulty), my head will probably explode when the routine gets a bit more added..

Battle is this weekend, Dec 8th and 9th.

I'm not a tumbling coach and I'm just going off from what I watched at SE's most recent video, but a LOT of senior elite's doubles and fulls had a crossed legs and some bent legs, etc. And I could be wrong, so don't shoot or attack me or jump down my throat, but I wouldn't really say that Senior Elite has better execution in their tumbling compared to F5. Not that F5 is perfect and I've noticed what you said about their tumbling, but I just really don't think SE has better execution either. But that's just my opinion.
I went back and rewatched the video. I stand by my earlier statement.

This is extra true considering how they're (F5) long considered the 'queens' of tumbling (Queens in general, but that's a statement I'd dispute..at another time :D). It's particularly noticeable in the group pass to the front. Maybe because they're pushing the numbers for sync, but while I won't deny SE has far from perfectly gorgeous tumbling in every pass, it currently looks, on the whole, MUCH more 'in layout position' and cleaner than F5s. Again, that could be due to getting the numbers up or nerves, but SE's certainly edging them out in execution. That is my opinion, and your perception might be different.

CoachTamara thanks for starting the analysis. No one here has room to expect any level of perfection from you.

CheernerdDC welcome back. Hope to see more of your analysis in the heated divisions to keep the discussion straight.

My opinion. Senior Elite has everything except its to busy and just hectic. The middle of the routine has 5 different stunts happening, baskets, second stunt, a third stunt and then i think they do another one not sure. F5 I feel that everything will come together when they have the music. I wasnt feeling their routine at first since i was so busy thinking of the one from last year. Peach very clean and executed however the difficulty isnt up to par. Stars i like the opening however the music seems too slow. Also with stars I feel like there putting their heart into this routine it looks like a 2007-2009 ss routine, which is a good thing btw. However I hate the dance its too slow for stars especially since the dances before were just amazing. Stars pyramid looks really good also.Panthers i also love the opening but i get bored after that.

I've seen their name brought up multiple times when everyone starts talking large senior, I keep seeing "you think (insert large senior team) is good?! wait till you see Cheer Tyme Love!" and basing my assumptions off of the last time I saw a Cheer Tyme level 5 team, I'll assume these teams won't have much to worry about. I'm happy to be surprised though.

I can't speak on any facts because I haven't seen the teams down there--I only know of one, maybe two girls on the team--but keep in mind, Chantilly is a completely new location for CT, and the girls on Love have no association with the former worlds teams from Mechanicsburg. I just know that when CT Chantilly opened, they had a boat load of kids running through the doors with level 5 skills within the first week.

When CT Love's first competition?

i really feel like everyones underestimating peach.
i think that F5 and panthers are so dangerous because theyre always just raw power...but stars and senior elite always put on an amazing show.
the changes everyone makes from now till worlds will be absolutely crucial. itll probably come down to tenths of a point no matter what

Like I said, I'm open to being surprised. I based my evaluation off of Cheer Tyme's routines in the past, and judging by them the gym would not be competitive in large all girl.

I'm going to say something that seems blasphemous, and maybe it was just the angle of the video:
I think, this year, SE has better tumbling than F5. Yeah, I said it.

THANK YOU. I feel like I've been thinking this in my head for so long. Like I never see SE with messy tumbling. I see F5 with messy tumbling quite often. It drives me crazy how people say F5 has a leg up.

Yes some of the girls on F5 had some questionable form, but to say Senior Elite has more tumbling than them in previous years is false.

For me its easier to compare teams when I can see them side by side, so I made this spreadsheet going off of what CheernerdDC posted for standing and running tumbling. For some skills there were two numbers so I went with the lower one because I assumed the higher ones were people that were either marking the skill or didn't throw the full pass (did layout instead of a full). Enjoy!

I APOLOGIZE IF SOMETHING IS WRONG. Its google docs so change whatever you see fit.

Welcome to Google Docs

ETA: This is only for tumbling, if someone wants to add stunts then be my guest.
ETA 2: Just realized it doesn't have jumps to tuck. I'm late for a cheer event right now so if someone wants to add them then that would be cool :)
